Exceptional The venue, room and bed were amazing. Best nights sleep I've had in a while. I didnt like food from the evening meal held for the event. It came out like warm and tasteless.

Hotel overall is maintained in excellent condition, we were lucky to get parking free of charge (new year offer!).

Facilities are really great in this hotel especially Pool, Sauna & steam room, there is a small jacuzzi in pool area for children which our kids loved so much.

Internet was fast and good connection. room we stayed was spacious and clean thought lighting could have been better.

There was a nice big smart telly we watched youtube on it.

The only drawback we had was the sofa bed in the family room (room we booked for 2 adult and 2 children) wasn't big enough to accommodate two children for comfortable sleep.

We last stayed in this hotel for our wedding night 16 years ago. What a re vamp, very modern, clean, good atmosphere and vibe . The bar area is the best thing about the hotel it’s got a great feel and set up.

Fantastic night, great company, friendly welcoming staff, clean rooms, tasty food, lots to offer. Would definitely stay here again and next time use all the services provided. Might even join the clubs gym as we are quite local.

Me and husband had a fantastic night will defo do it again, the new year party the only criticism I had but this is 100% my fault buffet wasnt for me as I am a very fussy eater, for me i would of loved a 3 course meal, and the queuing up for around 45 mins to find their was nothing I could eat apart from dry bread and pasty of the pork pie

Very nice on the whole. Very friendly and helpful staff, good location, very clean and comfortable. No comfortable seperate lounge for people who don't want to watch football on large and multiple televisions.

Exceptional Great hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. There’s no room service and they advertise an app all over the hotel, but it doesn’t seem to work.

We Spent the day here for a family wedding and we had a brilliant time. The wedding room was beautifully done & the ceremony was perfect. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was great and we had such a lovely time! The drinks are pricey but that was the only negative.

Hotel very good just off the motorway. Ample car parking at hotel. Reception is electric check in but staff were there to help if you get stuck. Room was very clean and staff rectified a problem we had within 15 minutes. Tea and coffee making facilities in room. TV has sky sports and cinema if you are in club or above level. Only 2 downsides to our stay: 1)there was a wedding on and the DJ played extremely loud music and when we complained there wasn't any subsidence to the noise which echoed because the rooms are not soundproof. 2) the pillows are horrendously hard. I suppose this is only a personal thing but if you require a softer pillow they will provide. All in all though it was very comfortable.

Rooms are clean but furniture a little worn and stained. Not bad but a few down points; Sky TV in the room didn't work and there was no phone in the room to ring down to reception. Food was nice but portion sizes small for the price (and no proper vegetarian sausages at breakfast just the old vegetable style ones) and a pint of IPA will set you back over £5. Room for improvement.

We went today for Sunday lunch. It used to be a carvery style and we were surprised to find out it isn't anymore and you only get the choice of either turkey or beef - not both. BUT.. the appetizers were amazing. Huge selection of salad pots, aperitifs, soup, rolls, pate, crudits.. very impressed! We did wait a while for the main but again it was delicious! Not really a fan of the chopping boards that its served on, but honestly the quality and quantity was perfect. Dessert selection was limited, either a lemon muffin or a chocolate muffin, but again the quality was wonderful.. particularly the lemon muffins, they were to die for!
So in summary, yes there are little niggles that could be improved upon (no condiments on table, slow service) but on the whole we were very impressed and will definitely be back. Well done Village Bury!

Me & hubby had a very enjoyable 2 night stay. Only downside was missing out on our early cup of tea on the first morning as the drink machine in our room was broken & that was the first time trying to use it. However, the lovely housekeeper knew what was wrong with it & sorted it for us. The staff here in general were great, really friendly & nothing was too much trouble. Thank you x

Decent car parking and coffee place. The entrance is quite limited however there is a range of menu items in the refurbished restaurant. Good place for informal meetings or just to grab a quick coffee. The gym is usually quite busy but the attraction of the free parking as well as the gym having a swimming pool, make this a popular destination.

Contemporary rooms and pleasant staff on hand at all times. Shem and Alice were particularly helpful. My only reservation would be the time taken to get served food and drink. I'd put this down to being very busy, virtually every day I stayed.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while attending a birthday party in the Vibe Room. Bed was super comfy but the good stops there. Very little personal service. You can check in, program your room card without seeing staff.
To get your luggage into the hotel, you either hoof it up about 20 stairs or walk around the side of the building to the disabled lift. It still doesn't get you where you need to be and no offer of help from staff.
There are no telephones in the rooms and in order to reach the front desk, room service or housekeeping, you need to download the Village app onto your Android or smartphone. The app is very unreliable.
There is no fridge, safe, Kleenex or glasses in the rooms. There is inadequate storage for your clothes as there is only a drawer in the desk and one beside the full length mirror.
There is no place in the hotel to even buy toothpaste and as you are in a business park, there is nothing close by.
This hotel caters to gym rats and business people, not for travelers looking for a nice hotel stay.

My rating has reduced for this chain after a number of changes that have occurred in the last 12 months at Bury.
No quiet public areas to socialize in.
Removal of lounge area.
Pub area converted to paid 'business lounge', with very little usage.
Parking charges now for stays over 4 hours except weekends.
The latter having an adverse affect on the pleasure of the gym members as it restricts the time they can use the facilities without it increasing drastically their costs. Personally it would add over a £100 per month for me to retain my use of the facilities lije I used to, in effect restricting my access time to 4 hrs.
Restaurant converted to two open area with large screen & settees (no sound sub-titles but with loud music blaring so neither able to listen to the programmes nor use the space to relax or chat with friends), mixed tables & chairs for brunch style servings (healthier options at a more costly price), incorporates in, the centre a large square bar area & on the far side a sit down more traditional style restaurant area, however the cacophony of noise persists, some may call it atmosphere, but for me it feels neither one thing now the other. The staff are still pleasant, but the feeling of having different spaces to fit different needs has for me been lost in the changes.
My current thoughts are & my friends agree we don't stay or visit to socially eat & chat anymore. It may appeal to others more, but not me & my ilk. A number have left for membership elsewhere and I'm considering this too. I like the people & the trainers here but if I can't get the service & quality of product I once did, not the enjoyment of the facilities, I may as well go to another closer gym, pay less & get more. I enjoyed the location & outside space in the warmer months but to lose that option to utilise that too due to excessive parking fees will drive me & many other members away.
I hope the managers look at the reviews, listen to the petitions & act & do the right thing by their members, as was done initially, by giving them passes.

We actually had an issue not with the hotel, but with behaviour of some thoughtless guests. The response of the hotel staff couldn’t have been better! They acted swiftly & without fuss. This is how you judge great service... when something extra is needed & it is delivered.
1st class experience.
