I stayed for business, conference and a party night in December 2016. Although Starbucks was having a makeover, everything else about the hotel was accessible, clean and the service was excellent from all. Nothing was too much trouble and upon arriving at 10pm when the restaurants were closed the management team and Chef did their utmost to accommodate us. Throughout the 2 night stay the staff could not do enough for you. I would recommend for business, pleasure and conferences. Overall a very good hotel and stay

Very dark dismal room, not enough lighting, there was a switch for a heated towel rail in the bathroom but no towel rail in the room?? no instructions on how to use coffee machine, no other tea/coffee making facilities, room hadn't been cleaned along skirting boards and bathroom had round corners. Sink had scum marks in! On the positive side the bed was very comfy.

Don't stay in a club room if you want to sleep. Directly over main entrance and bar and nightclub. Heard every club track as well as all guests leaving or hanging around outside smoking. Shower cubicle leaks and rooms are too dark.

Great stay beds are huge the only gripe is duvet was a bit heavy but that's just my preference rooms are spotlessly clean and wish they would swap those coffee machines for kettles overall a great night and would stay again

Average hotel with good facilities (pub, restaurant, gym and spa). Gym is well equipped and modern. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Room lighting seriously needs attention. It really does let the hotel down.

Booked the room online & expected the usual spa hotel.
Arrived to find the large car park nearly full and the hotel reception between a heaving pub & throbbing disco. A bit of a surprise.
Fortunately we'd eaten earlier as there didn't seem to be a quiet restaurant for dinner.
Luckily the room was completely quiet and away from all the noise and the beds are exceptionally comfortable so the overnight experience was very good.
Didn't use the spa in the end because we arrived so late.

Basically this was a disconnect between the hotel seen on the web site; classy, up market spa, and the actual hotel; popular night out sport with rooms and a gym.
Not a quiet retreat but I'd bet a fantastic place for a wedding (if granny is into disco) or any part where you want to stay after the revels.

Lovely stay however a few things need to change before we would return, not enough storage for clothes in the room for a family of four, very dark in the room, had to ask for eggs both mornings as they had run out,no hash browns or black pudding, run out of croissants, unable to eat in restaurant due to party so had to eat in the dreadful pub over the road with children running around breaking everything in the play area.
The arm chairs in reception let the overall appearance down as they are ripped and dirty and the same for the breakfast chairs, seems crazy that all this money has been clearly spent on hotel and these have been forgotten.

For a Christmas party experience it was good as always, rooms lovely & clean. Drinks expensive but they have a captive audience, not like you can go to the supermarket! Will stay again next year if our party is held there!

I recently stayed at Village Hotel, Bury, after the Made in Bury Business Awards After Party, and it was brilliant. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and having a Starbucks before I left certainly perked me up after a long night!

excellent hotel, staff and weekend the function we were there for was good and very well organised, the food was piping hot when served. All this was spoilt by a ruckus in the bar late on caused by people not staying at the hotel but there to watch boxing on tv

Hotel a bit tired, needs refurbishing to brighten up the rooms . Too many stripes in the bedroom and bathroom, needs to be a more neutral colour, wall and floor merged into one. The staff are very helpful and friendly, can't do enough for you, nothing is too much trouble. Good place to stay if you want to be near Bury, which we did, so would recommend it.

Nice Hotel but expensive for food and drink in bar. Use pub next door for food and drink.

Sent on a xmas night with work so booked this hotel for myself and 2 colleagues. First impressions of the hotel were great, and it just got better. The reception we received was warm and friendly and the process of checking in was very simple. Great room...great food...great service! Cannot fault this hotel and I will definitely be staying here again. Well done

We spent Saturday evening at one of the hotel's Christmas party nights and we're delighted with how our evening went. Entertainment ( female singer) was excellent. Staff were very efficient and polite and the food was beautiful, nicely presented, hot where required and nice quality. I would definitely recommend this hotel for all the reasons above and we will definitely be back next year.

Very convenient location and high standard of hotel, just poor quality experience due to noise from Xmas party which went on late in to the early hours and meant I got very little sleep. Was advised the hotel was full and so I couldn't change room.

Here for a party night which was excellent. My club room was good, clean and spacious. Breakfast excellent.
I booked a spa day for 3 peopleand this was very disappointing. Though the included treatments were good, the area used is poor. Treatment rooms are tiny with nowhere to put your clothes, no hooks and certainly no room for even a chair. Use of the pool etc means trailing through barriers and along a corridor. The noise in the pool was deafening as there were swimming classes so not at all relaxing. For the included lunch you need to dress and go back upstairs. Same applies if you fancy a cup of tea. This place should not be marketing as a spa. It's simply a place where you can have treatments and then use a busy pool. Not the relaxing experience we expected.

Clean and tidy hotel, well positioned with easy access to the M62 motorway and links around Manchester and the Airport. Excellent leisure facilities for a hotel and can't fault the staff and service - Well done

Have stayed in village hotels for the last few years mainly on a Sunday night ..When a room costs you £60 and that incudes £50 worth of food and drinks you can't get much better value then that...The offer they have been running for past few years has changed since last time we stayed..was given wrong advice when checked in which did result in a incorrect amount charged to my account but it was quickly sorted out to there credit..Will definetly still carry on using village hotels in future

Very helpful staff. Very efficient check-in. Clean and modern room with a good mattress. I was unlucky to be there for a staff Christmas party which woke me up a few times. The bathroom could do with a bit of an update too. Good value though.
