I stayed a couple of nights for work recently and found the hotel to be perfect for purpose. The room was nice (well equipped with an ironing board) and the bathroom was great, with an excellent shower. A nice and quiet situation but very well placed for access to the motorways and local towns. Staff were great and the breakfast was good.
Minor negatives: The bedroom doors shut noisily and 4 pound 50 for a bottle of fizzy water from the bar seemed a bit steep.
Overall, very pleasant place to stay and excellent value to boot.

Attended a wedding recently. Ceremony and reception in the Holcombe suite.
Beautifully decorated, excellent meal, waiting on staff couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant. Just a pity all the curtains were closed, which shut out any daylight.

Observations: Not enough seats in the bar and reception area for guests to sit after the ceremony and before the reception started. Needed by older and infirm guests .Speaker playing music above the table restricted chat between guests during the meal.
As a non smoker ,it was good to see the outdoor smoking area was well away from the entrance to the hotel.

Booked this hotel purely to attend a Wedding Reception for 1 night. Nice room & bathroom. Just need be careful when taking a shower as the bottom of the bath is very slippy. Comfortable
bed. Friendly staff in reception, bar & restaurant. Reasonable prices at the bar. Good quality breakfast. Very quick check in & out.

One night stay on business - clearly last room so allocated accessible room. Bed a bit lumpy and shower not designed for 6 foot bloke but clearly would have been great for accessible travellers. Breakfast a mixture of cooked to order and self serve. Attentive service. Not a bad stay - chosen for the location re next business meeting but happy with my stay.

Called in for a spot of lunch with my partner and was extremely happy with not only the fantastic menu offering 2 courses for £12.95 or 3 courses for £14.95 but also the very welcoming restaurant manager Pepe. What an asset! Nothing was too much trouble and he made our visit a pleasure. The food was amazing and fantastic value. A definite must place to visit, will be going again.

Fairly priced and clean hotel. Bed was very comfortable. The only downside was the patchy wifi. Very slow and unreliable. Other than that it was great.

I attended a business meeting yesterday at the red hall hotel, the room we were provided with was lovely, really well presented/decorated and there was a good choice of teas and coffee. Lunch was provided which was the best lunch I have had on a business trip, a lot of people took a doggy bag with them as there was so much to chose from. I'm hoping for more business meetings at this location!

Meal out for my twin and my 50th birthday. Food excellent and the staff couldn't do enough for us. There were 13 of us and everything came at the same time and they added a starter that wasn't on the menu for 2 of our party. The table layout was great and no one was trapped in their seats as is usual in most restaurants for a large table. Can not praise the restaurant and staff enough

The Red Hall Hotel, is located on the outskirts of both Ramsbottom & Bury, near to Manchester and Rochdale, in Lancashire. It is close to the Junction 1 of the M66. This Hotel stands high in the picturesque setting of Walmersley, within the Lancashire’s West Pennine Moors. The hotel has excellent motorway links, and is a perfect base for visiting neighbouring towns such as Blackpool, Southport and the ever-popular Lake District. The hotel has 37 tastefully designed bedrooms all with en-suite facilities and is also ideal for that special occasion or business meeting.
We stayed here for a couple of nights and we were impressed with the service, the cuisine and comfort of this hotel, which was also excellent value for money.
Whether it be for a relaxing weekend retreat or a base for your business visit the rooms offer something different, something distinctive. A home away from home with a lovely breakfast to start your day.
If that lunch or evening meal is required then it is in a stylish & comfortable place with stunning views over the surrounding countryside. The restaurant, Oscar’s, offers a fantastic menu using only the finest ingredients, sourced locally where possible.

The food was lovely but the service could have been better. We had to find the waiter when we needed a drinks order and we waited a long time for our food. Over priced and rather dull atmosphere. Won't be rushing back. Portion size of sole main course too small.

I stay at this hotel for business at least 2 nights a month, the rooms are always clean and tidy, the staff are exceptional, the on-site restaurant is very nice too.

I cannot fault a single thing about this hotel from start to finish the staff at Red Hall have been so helpful and friendly. The food on the night was delicious and breakfast and having eaten there on other occasions it is always consistently good. My room 13 was lovely and plenty of room for getting ready as we had a make up artist come in. I had a fab time and would recommend this hotel to anyone and Oscars is a great venue for a private function. Tip if you want a dance floor go for the sparkly one it looked amazing. Thanks again to everyone at Red Hall who helped make my 40th party perfect.

We attended our friends wedding reception at the hotel and stayed over for one night. Although the hotel looks pretty standard from the outside, we found it to be nicely turned out inside, with contemporary decoration and furniture.

Staff were friendly and welcoming, and our room (No 2 facing fields), although on the small side, was comfortable and stylish. Some wear and tear was evident, but the room was very clean, with a good bed and a powerful shower.

Breakfast was excellent, with a cold buffet and staff taking orders for hot choices and drinks - very much better than average for the price.

The wedding reception went off without a hitch, and the food was plentiful and tasty - the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream was particularly scrumtious.

The gounds of the hotel are mainly made up of car parking - but there are a couple of nice patio seating areas dotted around that look out onto open countryside, which were very welcome.

I would be happy to stay here again.

We've been to the Red Hall on several occasions, whether for an overnight stay or just to dine and it never disappoints.
Our room number was 23 (at the rear of the hotel, 1st floor) overlooking the fields and hills, we even saw a deer on the hillside. The rooms are always spotless and are always the right temperature (my opinion). There's also ample tea and coffee. The shower is fantastic and tremendously invigorating.
Check in was really straight forward and the receptionist was very polite without going over the top.
We decided to eat in the room on this occasion rather than going into Oscar's (Football on the TV). I thought my meal (the 8oz burger)was very tasty and presented really nicely, my partner had the same but thought it was a touch bland and a tad on the expensive side (everyone has a different opinion on food)
The room at night was very quiet and we both slept really really well.
Breakfast is great, there's always plenty of choice. Cereals, croissants, fruit, yoghurt, continental cooked meats etc and maybe a choice of 10 different cooked breakfasts.
We went for the traditional English breakfast, which was great. The plate is just enough, not over facing nor do you leave feeling hungry.
Overall great value (£55 for the room) and a very very enjoyable night away. We will definitely be returning

Fantastic day, expertly organised.
Afternoon tea was the best we have had, and along with entertainment and live betting we all thoroughly enjoyed and hope to be back next year!
The photo area and raffles were great extras that hopefully provided funds for a great charity - Bury cancer support.

This hotel was recommended to us by people living locally. Everything was run very professionally by very pleasant and helpful staff. A very comfortable ensuite bedroom but the dining room was definitely the star decorated in a modern style but extremely comfortable. The menu was interesting and the food excellent.
My only problem which has nothing to do with the hotel, was as it is situated on a busy road was trying to find somewhere to walk my dogs.

A short distance from M66 and yet deep in the heart of beautiful countryside. A small hotel, comfortable, and with such friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Nothing too much trouble and really excellent food in the restaurant. Watch the mist rise over the fields and listen to the birds sing in an early summer morning. A really good base for the local area, and don't forget Bury market.

We were at a wedding here in June. They did a cracking job with the wedding, beautifully set tables, silver service, very good food, great atmosphere. We stayed over night & the room was bigger than most hotel rooms, comfy beds, a good size bathroom & very clean. All the staff including receptionists, waiters & waitresses were very helpful & friendly. The breakfast was good, we had a full English breakfast served but plenty of cereals, toast, yoghurt, fruit etc that you can help yourselves to while waiting for the cooked food. All this at a very reasonable price £80 for the room which included breakfast for two. This room was at the back overlooking fields & very quiet.

Our son held his wedding here on the 10th June. What a fantastic 'do'. Everything went according to plan. The staff were excellent, very attentive and nothing too much trouble. A special mention must go to Warren the wedding MC, for his organisational skills in preparing the function room for the ceremony, meal and disco. He was fantastic. The food was great and the servings more than adequate with dietary requirements considered. A very successful day all round. Would have no hesitation in recommending The Red Hall Hotel as a venue for any celebration.

Had our wedding reception at the Red Hall Hotel on 03/06/16. The hotel is lovely and the room where the wedding reception was held is very nice. Warren the wedding planner was brilliant all the way through from booking the wedding to the actual day. Made us feel very reassured and was fab with all the guests. Warren and the red hall staff made the room look amazing on the day, everything was in place and just how we had asked for it to be. Great food, great venue. Big thank you to Warren.
