Had lunch today from a menu for the restaurant. Could have had a larger choice for the 3 courses, but the food was good I had roast pork and my wife had hake in sauce.
Food quality and service both good .Only had 2 courses for £12.95.
So besides not having enough choice for each course, we were very satisfied and will pay another visit, maybe in the evening where I suspect the choices on the menu will be greater.
The staff are all very efficient and friendly, and the restaurant is furnished to a high standard, and very comfortable.
All in all a very enjoyable lunch

My mother and I stayed in the Red Hall Hotel. It is a small locally owned hotel. The room was very clean, decent size bathroom, all the facilities worked and were in good order. Bed's were good, firm and plenty of pillows. Great array of teas/coffees in the room. The staff were also good. Check in was swift. We had afternoon tea and also had an evening meal. Both meals were to a good standard, the food was plentiful, freshly cooked and service was excellent. I'd highly recommend it for overnight stays. There is a large car park adjacent to the hotel which is safe and free. Room rate was very reasonable and they matched a rate we had found online which was cheaper.

My husband and I stayed here for a week as the daughter of friends of ours was having her wedding reception here and as we live in Northern Ireland, we thought we'd have a short holiday as I used to live and work in the area. We originally booked over a year ago when the wedding date was announced and about a month prior to our arrival I called the hotel to book three extra nights and confirm the room rate (£70 b/b for a double) that we'd been given.

Check-in was speedy and friendly, the room (20) at the back of the hotel comfortable if a little compact, bed comfortable bathroom fine, decent toiletries and lots of fluffy towels. Had to ask for extra teabags for the hospitality tray several times as twice as much coffee as tea was always left. Breakfast very good, usual buffet juices, cereals, fruit and yogurt and a good full English. I always had either the smoked salmon and scrambled egg or kipper and poached egg.

The meal at the reception was OK, but nothing out of the ordinary. The one night we ate in the hotel we dined off the table d'hote and it was very good. Bar prices average. Wifi a bit slow, but reception, bar, restaurant and housekeeping staff all very friendly and efficient.

Plus points are it's easy accessibility from the motorway network and public transport whish is excellent in the area right outside the door. Close to Ramsbottom town centre and can recommend Bellini's Italian restaurant, and Eastern Eye Indian.

Would certainly stay there again if we needed hotel accomodation in the area.

Downsides? Would book a twin next time on the front of the hotel as they are larger, and very little lounge area, but this is mainly due to the hotel catering mainly to the wedding trade and business people overnighting

This was the second time that we had stayed at the Red Hall hotel for a birthday celebration. The food at the reception was excellent.

Our room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. The bathroom and shower were very good and my partner was impressed by the shelf space for cosmetics etc. There was even space in the shower for shampoo etc. I was happy to find free WiFi.

Throughout our stay all the staff were cheerful very helpful.

Do I have any criticisms? Not really unless I get into serious nit picking. The bottom line is: the hotel is good value for money and we would be happy to stay here again.

Thank you to the staff for making us so welcome.

Attended the wedding reception of some friends in early March. It's a very nice venue with good staff. The place was clean and tidy and well looked after, with attentive staff. The buffet was nice too.

It looked really friendly and a great place to have a wedding. Bar prices were a bit steep, like all hotels of this kind, but not enough that it spoilt the evening.

Looking forward to going back if we can!

On Saturday 16th February I had the pleasure of attending a fundraising function for a charity we support at The Red Hall Hotel, what an ideal venue for functions. The room was elegantly laid out, the preparation by Richard and the staff was second to none, nothing was a problem and with Darren at the helm during the evening, things went like clockwork.
On arrival every guest was greeting with a glass of champagne and a welcoming smile from Pepe, the bar staff were so efficient and helpful. The meal for over 100 people was served quickly and the quality of the food was excellent. All through the evening the staff were attentive and so pleasant,
I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a function, many guests stayed overnight and commented on the clean rooms and the lovely breakfast the morning after. It is easily the best venue in this area by far.

Me and my wife have just had the most amazing wedding experience courtesy of The Red Hall Hotel. The staff and service we received on the day was superb and no questions or queries were too hard to deal with and we had everything we could need. If anyone ever has the pleasure to deal with Warren then you will never meet a nicer guy who will do everything in his power to make your day special and he was brilliant leading up to and on the big day!

All the staff were excellent in their manner and the service was just amazing from Reception right through to the meal and service in the bar everybody was treated with the upmost respect!

The wedding breakfast was perfect and the food is amazing and not one complaint has been given to us regarding anything during the meal! (or at all during the day for that matter)!!

The rooms that our guests stayed in were very and tidy and more than comfortable for the evening and getting ready in the morning. Our room was superb as we stayed in the Princess Suite.

Food - well as already stated the food was brilliant and the buffet we had at the evening was brilliant and there was tons of food for all the guests there!!

All in all this hotel was a gem of a find and the staff are a credit to the owners and i can not praise or thank them enough for everything and our day was PERFECT thanks to their hard work. I will definitely be coming back to the hotel to stay over for an evening, and to visit the restaurant again.

Thankyou very much for a wonderful start to our life as Mr & Mrs Storey!!

We held our wedding at this hotel on 30 December 2012 and we were thrilled with the efficiency of the staff, the service and the food, everything was fantastic. The turn around of the room for the wedding breakfast was done very quickly and the room looked stunning - they did an amazing job. We booked on a package and paid extra as we had extra guests but it was excellent value for money, the food was plentiful (no small portions), served hot and was presented very well and tasted lovely. Many of our guests stayed over and commented on the cosy atmosphere of the hotel, the service, the rooms and the breakfast...it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. They were well organised and very flexible when it came to our specific requests. If you don't want to pay a fortune for your wedding but are not prepared to scrimp on quality then please consider this venue - we had a ball and were chuffed to bits that all our guests were well looked after.

I have visited numerous times over the years both pre and post refurb and always found the hotel to be welcoming and offer a fantastic range of Lancashire cuisine at reasonable prices.

Staff are welcoming and friendly. Food is more often than not cooked to perfection. Sunday lunch at the Red Hall is a firm favourite of mine.

We were pleasantly surprised how nice this hotel was - and that we'd secured room only for GBP 50. We stayed one night only as we were meeting friends for dinner at the nearby Fisherman's Retreat (five pounds in a taxi). Reception staff were efficient at booking us in, even though there was a wedding reception in full swing, and getting us a taxi. Our room was good size and well equipped. Hotel is conveniently located for access to M66, only a short drive to Ramsbottom town centre - but nothing within walking distance. We rarely have breakfasts in hotels and no exception this time - a short drive into Ramsbottom and at the local bakers on Bridge Street we had two substantial sausage & bacon sandwiches for under a fiver.

Would we stay here again ? Yes.
Would we recommend to friends ? Yes

Very nice hotel, the staff are excellent, rooms are comfortable. There seems to be many regulars which can only mean it is good. The only downside was the location, there is nothing else anywhere nearby.

Great place, really liked it and will happily come back whenever we've a family event in the area.
One downside - avoid room 1!! There's what sounds like a gas-fired tumble drier in the service room behind the headboard, and the low-frequency rumbling vibration WILL keep you awake. The best solution is to stock up on their excellent beer, then you won't actually notice any noise at all.

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights as part of my friends wedding group, she was getting married in a local church and then reception at the Fishermans Retreat.

Free parking and wifi. Check in was painless and we were informed about booking dinner as they were busy and had a wedding on that night.

The room was nicely decorated, the bath could do with being updated but the shower was nice and hot and powerful so did the job. Cleanliness was excellent across all areas in the hotel.

The main problem is that the hotel was quite noisy, mostly due to the thin walls and heavy slamming doors which meant that you could hear next doors full conversation/ tv program and were woken up continuously with banging doors...soft closing doors would make a massive difference! The room was hot so uncomfortable to sleep in the first night.

The restaurant area was lovely decorated, like a modern conservatory. The dinner in the evening was good, and the breakfast was nice. Overall the staff were very polite however service was quite slow at dinner but that being said it was very busy and there was the wedding on too.

Overall a good stay, good value for money and certainly did the job and would use it again if in the local area.

We have just returned from the Red Hall Hotel from a family meal. The decor was lovely and one waiter George was very attentive, but on the whole a little disappointing from what they claim to offer. Food was average but pricey! out of six desserts on the menu there were only two available!! One member of staff was quite challenging with my father when he was unhappy with something - not what I expect from good customer service, unfortunately we wont be returning anytime soon.

Stayed here for the Saturday of the Ramsbottom Festival, the lady on the desk was brilliant got us in the room as soon as she could. The room which was a disabled room was great although it was close to the main entrance we were never disturbed. Our concerns about the wedding party disturbing our sleep were unfounded once we were in the room couldn't hear a thing and slept very well. Breakfast and the staff there were great as well. Perfect place for a slow walk into Ramsbottom and the delights of that little enclave.

We stayed here for a wedding and paid £80.00 for a double room and bed and breakfast. The room was nicely decorated, clean and well maintained and had all the amenities you would expect, including flat screen TV, hair-dryer, iron and ironing board.

It is surrounded by countryside and is located close to the motorway junction and also close to the pretty village centre of Ramsbottom and there is free car parking on site. Although convenient the location could be better as it is on a major road with only a small amount of outdoor space that is adjacent to the car park.

The wedding food was delicious as was the breakfast, which was included in the room price and cooked to order and if this is anything to go by the restaurant must be very good. The service was also excellent throughout our stay.

I would recommend staying here if you are going to a wedding or visiting the area.

A late arrival on Friday 24th, my partner had pre-booked and left her card details to reserve the room. On arrival, neither her nor my card would work, and the staff remained entirely professional and courteous as we resolved this problem by phone and email with the respective banks (black mark to the Bankers, big tick for the hotel...)

Once checked in, there was no change from the friendly and helpful demeanour of the staff, and we were shown to the room.

What can I say - I've stayed in some "three star" hotels in my time, but this was absolutely flawless, even down to the free (and no log-in required) Wifi having dedicated ADSL for different areas of the building,

This is a hotel with everything - good, helpful courteous staff, excellent food and drinks, continental bar timings, fantastic, yet easy to reach location, and free parking to boot.

I will be back soon.

stayed here recently whilst on business and one of the best hotels i have stayed in, happy smiles at the front desk greet me as i checked in and this was replicated throughout the hotel by the housekeeping staff, bar and waiting staff, management and even the night porter.

really nothing was too much trouble for them.

checked in early evening and whilst i didnt want a large meal had possibly the best fish and chips i have hade for a long time, fish was delicous, batter nice and light and the hand cut chips fantastic.

the rooms are nice and the shower fantastic all to often hotel shoewers have poor water pressure

breakfast was well cooked and presented the next morning

will definatley be back when in the area

Hi,
We went to an evening Wedding reception this weekend Sun 19th August 2012 and stayed over night. It was one of the nicest enjoyable Hotels we have stayed at, top class. All the staff were so helpful specially Jenna(I think it is spelt like this),smiles all around and really made us welcome. The food was first class and anybody thinking of getting Married there, do it, you will love it. For those who want to eat somewhere else, there is a lovely pub five minutes away called The Lord Raglan, worth a visit.
