We had a positive experience with Fortis and would strongly recommend them.
We had a few uncommon specifications, like acoustic glass and trickle vents, and John listened carefully and helped us with thoughtful suggestions. The quote was competitive, quick and comprehensive. Making final-details arrangements and booking was smooth.
The installation teams were always timely, tidy, and very friendly; they did a great job - the window units themselves are tidy and well fitted; they insulated the bottom of a bay window and it's a really good job, it's a big piece of insulation, but cut and fitted in such a way that you can't see it unless you're looking for it. They supply tracking when they're on their way to you, which was a nice touch.
We had two snagging issues relating to manufacturing rather than fitting, but the real test of customer service is what happens when things go wrong, and Fortis were excellent. There was a manufacturing defect and separately a slight cosmetic blemish. The manufacturing defect was remediated as fast as a new one could be manufactured, and the minor blemish - within discretionary general guidelines perhaps another fitter would have availed-upon - they also resolved very speedily, on the premise they wouldn't be happy with it in their own home either. Good people.
Finally, a few weeks after the installation we had some follow-up questions that weren't issues or snags as such, but an inquiry about a part of the window mechanism, which they again promptly and helpfully answered.

We recently had some replacement windows fitted and couldn’t be happier with the results. The team arrived on time, worked efficiently and left everything spotless afterward. Absolutely Brilliant work done by Fortis windows to install a new front door and a double glazed window to my house in Ramsbottom. Dave and Charlie did a first class job (maybe it was the chocolate biscuits that kept them going!).

Excellent, experienced and professional team from Fortis Windows completed a service on both my external UPVC Doors. 1 door nearly 20-years-old and the other 5-years-old. Both doors now operate as good as the day they were installed - will use Fortis Windows for all future jobs

Fortis recently helped me get a new front window arranged when our window frame was damaged from attempted burglary. I decided to upgrade our front door at the same time to make the house more secure and draft proof. They were kind and patient with me when I needed to re arrange the fitting appointment twice due to bereavement and the poor weather. The guys who came were polite, professional, efficient and did a great job fitting the new window and door. They also cleaned up properly after themselves. The new front door and laminated windows look very smart and are high quality, secure and fitted perfectly. The front door feels very solid, high quality and draftproof. I feel this is a very worthwhile upgrade and has increased the safety and security of the house. I am very pleased with the Fortis products and service. Thank you very much.

Great experience for my first time using Fortis. Very helpful on the initial call and great communication over WhatsApp from Pam to arrange the visit to complete the works, which were all done quickly and professionally. Took a week or so for the invoice to arrive to make payment but cost was very reasonable and online payment very easy. Will definitely come back in the future. Thanks

Fortis have just replaced our front and back doors along with six windows, we are delighted with the results. Their service has been excellent throughout the process. Graham completed the survey and Ste, Danny and Charlie fitted the windows and doors. The work was completed to a high standard and it was a pleasure to have them in our home. They respected our property and cleaned up at the end of each day. Highly recommended.

Used them again for replacing my patio windows following an attempted break in. They were quick to respond and offered quotes for upgraded glass and considered other options but in the end they recommended a solution which was fast, efficient and provided an ideal upgrade to improve security. There was no pressure or upselling just good sound advice at a reasonable price.
The fitters did a great job very quick, neat and tidy. They took away the boarding cleaned and hovered all the glass bits away. Highly recommend them.

So we decided that it was time to replace all of the windows at the rear of our house AND a new kitchen door. We had a few quotes and we decided to go with Fortis. Fortis provided a truely professional service and we are well pleased with what has been provided.
