We hired out the volt at cosalea for my grandmas 70th birthday the staff were amazing and Ania was fabulous with helping to plan and organise the evening.
The food was great and they catered for gluten free excellently.

We had another lovely evening at the Hamer’s Arms.
The staff are consistently friendly and attentive.Good Pinot Grigio and went for the cheese and onion pie again - definitely one of the best I’ve had. You really feel you are getting proper homemade pub grub here.
Don’t understand why it is not busier - would definitely recommend.

We went with a party of 9.
One of the group never received their main course and had to wait until we'd nearly finished ours, though they did give a free drink on the house.
My son ordered steak (medium rare that came medium) with peppercorn sauce. It wasn't peppercorn sauce but gravy! I told him to complain but he was reluctant to do so.
My battered fish was nicely cooked but the batter was overcooked and the plate was too small for the dish.
The service was poor, even though it was not very busy! The unattentive service meant that they brought the dessert menu over and 15 minutes later nobody came to ask if we wanted anything.
This, coupled with steep prices for food and drink, means I won't be returning.

This is some of the best Lancashire food I've ever had, and that's not faint praise, I love Lancashire food and wish it were more widely known. Pleasant beer garden with no traffic noise, accessible dunnies. This place has it all. The beer's not that well kept but maybe that's just today?
Vegetarian options: Great veg and vegan options. Cheese and onion pie, padtie, rag pudding. Great stuff

My hubby and I were out for a drive and came across The Hamers Arms, we were both hungry so decided to pop in.
We weren’t disappointed! I ordered the homemade cheese and onion pie, which came with chips and choice of peas or beans. The pie was a big portion and it was delicious! and I have to say, it was the best cheese and onion pie I’ve ever had! I wish I had a piece for my dinner tonight! :)My hubby’s meal was just as tasty and not too spicy, he ordered the curry, which was a chicken balti, it came with rice and nan bread.
