The staff were amazing. We managed to meet family (post illness) safely at a distance, sitting on sofas in the lounge and seperate tables for meals, where we could still chat. We had use of the pools & jacuzzi, which made it very relaxing. The booking system worked well. We had a very possitive experience. Thank you.

Stayed here for one night. Hotel is in a few acres of land and in a nice location away from the busy Bury roads. Room was very spacious but with a small TV. Wifi was excellent and loads of parking available. The hotel was not that busy for a Friday night, so we ate in the restaurant and had the 3 course set menu. The food was exceptional and surpassed our expectations. All the staff were super polite and all wore masks or face shields when in public areas.

My wife and i returned to celebrate 8 years of marriage.
We got married at the Bolt Holt in August 2012 & they did not disappoint, great hotel, great amenities & even better staff.
Under the circumstances we had a great return, again the staff look after us.
We made use of the of the pool, where you get a time slot and 45 mins which really is enough, unfortunately the sauna & steam room aren’t open but make sure you take a dip in the plunge pool 🥶🥶🥶🥶Sorts the hangover out!!
Evening meal & breakfast was lovely, nice and relaxing.
Will definitely be returning.

Just got home after 3 nights in this hotel and overall was impressed with the hotel the room was modern and at the back of the hotel so very little noise during the night .No tea or coffee in the room but a machine near the resturant could be used as you wished through out the day and night.Breakfast has to be booked so that you attend at a designated time ,the breakfast for the first two days was really slow and from ordering we waited 30 mins on the first day and 25 mins on the second day. As others have mentioned the corridors look quite dated but the reception and rooms that we saw looked bright and modern ,also saw a couple of dogs whilst staying which seemed to be confined to rooms on the ground floor. A special mention for one of the ladies on reception "Michelle" who was really helpful with her local knowledge of the area and advice on walks and resturants also got us some plates and cuterly for our takeaway meal on our last night. We did not try the leisure facilities but they seemed popular whilst we were there. Overall very impresses with our first stay in a best western hotel aside from the bed was really uncomftable

As a wedding venue, we really could not have asked for better than Bolholt. This hotel is the ideal mixture of intimate and picturesque, without being ostentatious. There is lots of outside space where we had some beautiful photographs taken and the interior décor is cosy, yet light. We were unfortunately unable to hold a traditional wedding breakfast or evening reception due to current restrictions, but we have every confidence that there would have been more than enough space in the Summerfield Suite to facilitate this for our relatively intimate original numbers.
The duty manager Asher has been extremely helpful in sorting out our wedding. We cannot thank him and the rest of the staff enough for facilitating our wedding in strange circumstances. This has obviously been an ongoing working relationship, but we were confident in the venue right from our first look around in August 2019. All venue staff that we have had the pleasure to deal with have been equally helpful and pleasant, over our whole involvement with them.
Regarding our most recent stay, on the evening of and morning following our wedding, we were pleased with the additional safety measures Bolholt have put in place as a result of the pandemic. These included: clear social distancing reminders, both verbal and written, proactive behaviour regarding NHS Test and Trace and table service only in the restaurant. We also witnessed guests who were not abiding by social distancing guidelines being politely, but firmly challenged. Another safety feature was the removal of kettles and tea/coffee cups from rooms; staff were very accommodating about providing a disposable alternative and there was also a central, regularly cleaned coffee machine made available for guest use, which allowed guests to return to their rooms with a hot beverage, free of charge.

We had quite a big room which appeared new, certainly seemed to be new carpet, which was nice. The staff were friendly upon check in and we had a lovely view from our room over a small pond. I would visit again.

Stayed 2 nights for a family wedding. The staff were very attentive. The wedding was fabulous, the meal etc. Our room was comfy, unfortunately, the shower was cold. We weren't offered another room, just told someone would look at it. However, Sunday morning was the same. Hopefully it be fixed by now. Apart from that, no complaints.

This hotel sounds good on paper but doesn’t live up to expectations. It’s at the end of a residential street which appears to go nowhere and isn’t signposted off the main road so there’s the doubt that your heading in the right direction. The entrance to the park and approach to the hotel is undulating and rough in places. The hotel is clean and well maintained but in need of updating and there’s no danger of being scalded by the shower! Breakfast was plentiful with a good choice but why can’t I have a kettle in the room instead of a temperamental coffee machine without any instructions. However, there was free bottled water. Room was ok comfort wise but was too hot and the furnishings were cheap. Don’t think I would stop here again.

The best thing about this place are the staff (the few really helpful ones) and the pool which is actually a separate business and building, but included in the price of the stay.
The building and driveway are terrible.
There are steep stairs with narrow corridors to get to bedrooms.
Very weird setup.
The shower suddenly went really hot a couple of times, and the TV didn't work properly.
Pots of tea not provided at breakfast 🤔
The only reason I'd go back here is for the pool..
