... Comments

There will obviously be a lot to do in and around the Bromley and South East London area this weekend, although the weather report's aren't good for Saturday and Sunday!

Here at thebestof Bromley we encourage everyone to Buy Local where possible, and that applies to supporting local events as well.
Don't foget to check out thebestof Bromley Events page for more ideas, but here are just some of the events going on in Bromley and surrounding areas over the Bank Holiday Weekend and next week.

Bromley Farmers' Market
Situated in the busy pedestrian area of Bromley High Street between the Churchill Theatre and Elmfield Road, this popular Farmers Market is combined with an Arts and Craft Market and is open every Friday and Saturday from 9am – 5pm.
The Farmers market showcases local producers that sell fresh seasonal produce such as vegetables, meat, eggs, plants and herbs. A good selection of bread, cakes, preserves, wine and juices is also available to buy.
Offering a wide range of merchandise, the Arts and Craft market includes many unusual and unique gifts such as handmade jewellery and curios.
The Kent Farmers' Market website has more info and full listings of all the Farmers' Markets around Kent.

Big Foot Bike Club

Hayes To Brighton - May 2nd 2010
Sunday May 2nd is the annual Hayes to Brighton ride. We go mostly on country lanes via Devil's Dyke down into Hove rather than via Ditchling Beacon. It's about 55 miles and 900 metres of climbing, so suitable for Levels 2-5. We'll have at least one support car with food, water and energy drink on board. You will need to make your own arrangements for returning. Some riders will be cycling back but you can take the train from Hove of Brighton to East Croydon, or cycle up to Haywards Heath/Gatwick. If you are getting a lift back, please note this is a bank holiday. We will be meeting in a different location from previous years, The Meeting Place Cafe on the seafront of the Brighton/Hove border. Post on the Club Forum if you're planning to attend.

Meet: Outside Hayes Village Hall at 7.45am for maps, directions and briefing
Cost: £10 to cover costs of food and drink plus fuel for support car.
Please note: We have a new meeting point and there will be some minor changes to the route we used last year.
