Let's face it - we all want to show our Mums how much we love them, and even more so on Mothering Sunday. It's a chance to give Mum a day off - from cooking and tidying up and instead give them an extra special treat to say thank you.

There are so many options available right here in Bromley for you to do exactly that for your Mum. You're really spoilt for choice!

Here's a fantastic selection to get you started:

Say it with cake! - there's nothing like a handmade cake to say I love you, so get one made for you! Choose from some fantastic cakes at Joanne's Cake Heaven or perhaps even a talking cake from The Yummy Cake Company. They're both great local cake makers worth supporting.

Or say it with flowers! - your Mum is guaranteed to love a gorgeous bunch of flowers. Sunflower Florists in Bromley can make a bouquet to your specification and deliver it to you, it really couldn't be easier.

Beauty treatments - Give Mum that kick start to the weight loss she's been wanting with a course of laser lipo from The Bromley Wellness Clinic. If you know Mum's up for doing it the old-fashioned way, then you could always get her membership to The Studio BR1 where she can start those gym sessions. Or why not give Mum a makeover courtesy of Loubeautique, the makeup artist who comes to you & shows you a few tricks of the trade.

A new hair do? Having your hair done can help you feel rejuvenated and like a new person! Book an appointment for your Mum at Baccarat Hair and help her get that hairstyle she's always wanted. Or try the folks at A Cut Above for organic hair colouring.

Hotel - there's nothing like a little break for Mum to recharge her batteries. Book her a night at The Bromley Court Hotel. The hotel has great packages available on selected dates. They also have cracking Mother's Day dining options too, so check them out, even if you're not planning to book a stay.

Gifts made from castings - capture the moment, especially if you have little ones, and get a casting of little hands or feet made for Mum. B&G make a whole range of gifts including jewellery and keepsakes.

Dining out - Bromley is spoilt for choice with fabulous restaurants and cafes. Give Mum the day off from cooking and take her out for some delicious French fare at La Rascasse, or some tasty mountain range delights at The Coney. Or what about a great homemade lunch at The Lavender House? Or if you'd rather stay at home and let the food come to you then there's always an Indian takeaway from Raj Moni. You really are spoilt for choice!

Theatre - going to the theatre is always a treat, and The Churchill Theatre is no exception! Check out the local theatre on your doorstep for the latest shows and book Mum some tickets.

Hobbies - If your Mum's always expressed an interest in a hobby, now could be the time to get her started. She could take on gardening - set the garden up for Spring and give Mum a gift that lasts way beyond Mother's Day. Plews Garden Design offer gardening lessons as well as garden maintenance services. Or how about learning martial arts with Julian Hitch Martial Arts School of Excellence
