"Make no bones about it, l nail my colours firmly to the mast on this one as a whole hearted supporter of fixed-width websites - as opposed to websites that occupy the full screen, regardless of the screen resolution of the user.
And on this one I’m not alone. So many of the websites we all actively use every day such as Facebook, the BBC, Ebay and Google are fixed width, and to be honest, if it suits them, then it's OK with me!"
