Trev and Barry is not really coming to a high street near you, Trev and Barry is made up for the purpose of highlighting how you can use the power of blogs to start your brand building process. If a new supermarket chain to rival Marks & Spencer’s was launched without any Branding or advertising and all you were presented with was the name ‘Trev and Barry’ with the strap line ‘we sell food’ would you consider checking them out to buy your weekly shop, probably not.
If on the other hand if you read some information via Google reading:
Trev and Barry, coming to a high street near you.
Trev and Barry is a new local food chain that rivals the likes of M&S for quality and value. The stores are beautifully designed and there are plenty of new offers to welcome new shoppers. You would have to see it to believe it.
After reading something like this people might be tempted to at least give it a try, would you not agree?
So it would make a lot of sense that if you are a new business starting out, with little brand awareness, you used blogs to let people know the name of your brand and tell them what you do. You can compare your brand to other so people understand where you fit in the market. If you do this make sure you let people know why they should try you first.
