Transform your living room this Spring with a Spring clean!

Let's face it, not everyone has the budget to be able to undertake a huge transformation within their home, much as they'd like to.

They have compiled a handy list of actions that you can undertake in the space in your home where you most likely spend the most amount of time (aside from when you're sleeping in your bedroom!): the living room.

Invest some time in a really deep clean which will set you up for the Spring/Summer. This means doing more than just a cursory going over with the vaccum cleaner and a quick dust down. It means actually moving furniture around to get behind it, either de-cluttering your ornaments or giving them a proper wipe down and making sure that every angle is covered.
Remove all your ornaments or objects from the room. This gives you a completely blank canvas to work on, and means nothing will get broken. Now is a good time to get rid of anything you may no longer want or need.
It makes sense to begin at the top and work your way down. Start with gettingrid of those cobwebs, go over frames and mirrors, then clean the furniture. Then you can just vacuum it all up at the end.
When it comes to the windows, don't draw the line at just cleaning them. Take down your curtains or blinds and have them cleaned. You'll be amazed at how much they look like new afterwards!
Move your furniture around and give a good vacuum around the whole floor space. Also be sure to vacuum your upholstery surfaces and clean your cushion covers. Give the cushions a good beating too - it's very satisfying!
