The best of all worlds at The British Queen in Locksbottom

Make no bones about it, it's very clear what The British Queen is: it's a pub.

Proud to be a pub. And happy to embrace and promote a pub-like atmosphere.

The newly re-opened The British Queen in Locksbottom is unashamed of its roots and relishes in providing its customers with an atmosphere of being your "local boozer". But much more than that, it also aims to be more than just a pub by serving food that's a departure from "pub grub", in the form of brasserie style food that also oozes quality.

It sounds like they've already succeeded, judging by the positive reviews from punters that are flooding in on Facebook: "returned home from what was a beautiful meal - The restaurant is stunning, and the staff are friendly" and "Beautiful decor, attentive service and gorgeous food."... and these were just the first couple we came across!

The menu has something for everyone and just reading through it is making my mouth water... Salmon tartare, Six hour slow-cooked beef short-rib, and heritage breed steaks sourced from specially selected British farms. And I simply couldn't decide between the Normandy apple tart, or the Chocolate soufflè with bitter chocolate ice cream... is having two desserts a step too far?!

And we love the sound of their Dine with Wine Menu, which is available at set times during the week and offers a more limited selection from 2 or 3 choices per course - all with a glass of wine for £2.50. What a fabulous way to sample the delicious food at great value for money.

Head down to The British Queen in Locksbottom this October and enjoy delicious food in a delightful atmosphere.
