Twitter is great.
It's a fantastic way of "speaking" to people and getting the low down on the local community. It's like the garden fence of the 1950s - pop your head over the fence anytime and have a chat with your neighbours.
So it's with great delight that I can shout out about the launch of the #BeckBromFLSanta appeal.
Now those of you who already follow #BeckBromFl on Twitter will very much be aware of the buzz the campaign has caused on Twitter this week. For those of you who don't follow #BeckBromFl.... why not?! It really is a fantastic way of keeping up with the local community and businesses in the Beckenham and Bromley area.
So what is this #BeckBromFLSanta campaign then?
Quite simply, it's all about giving something back to our local area this yuletide season. Think about it....
What if..... in your street there was a child facing the prospect of being in the care of social services this Christmas?
What if..... you knew a child in your neighbourhood was preparing to spend Christmas day in a hospital bed?
What if..... our community could make a difference this year and put a smile on the faces of children in Bromley who really needed it?
You can make that happen by joining us and sparing £5 that will buy a gift for a child.
We believe that lots of little random acts of kindness can make a big difference.The #BeckBromFLsanta appeal wants to raise as many smiles as possible. At present #BeckBromFL are in contact with several local children’s charities, but they would also welcome any other potential benefactor organisations, so do contact them if you have any ideas.
