Nancy Whitaker from Kent County Cricket Club and her family are raising money for the incredibly worthy cause PAPYRUS, a charity that aims to prevent suicide in young people.

Nancy shares the very sad story of her niece, Rosie, who took her own life just a few months ago:

My beautiful niece Rosie took her own life back in June this year at the age of just 15.

She had become involved in nasty websites promoting self harm, anorexia and suicide. Obviously we are all totally distraught and it will be a very long time before we even begin to move on from this tragedy.

One way we've found to make something positive come from this is to raise money in Rosie's memory. We have already raised over £7.5k on the just giving page that Vanja, Rosie's mum set up, but we want to raise more.

We need your help!

Rosie's family and friends will be getting together on 18 November to run in the Brighton Brooks 10K to raise more money for Rosie's Memorial Fund.

Before this happened to Rosie, I along with most people was totally unaware of the extent of this problem with our youngsters. The statistics are horrific and getting worse by the day, due to the many outlets there are on the internet these days.

We need to raise awareness to help prevent young people going to these evil websites to fuel their feelings and instead visit REAL help websites like PAPYRUS and call for REAL help.

I really hope you can help us and we appreciate every single penny given, no amount is too small...... we know that money is tight for most of us. Please also remember to add gift aid if you qualify.

Thanks so much.
