When people open your email, of course it’s really important to have a strong call to action. However, even before this happens, it has to be opened in the first place!
So probably the single most important thing to make sure your email is opened is the subject line.
The subject line is a mini sales message – and it’s vital you get it right.
There is of course the temptation to use your name, company name or brand name in the subject line but as long as these are in the "From Name" (which they should be) then it’s duplicating the same information and wasting valuable subject line real estate.
