We're totally gripped by cycling fever at the moment.

Not only have we just enjoyed a second year running of British success in the Tour de France with Chris Froome's victory at the weekend, but just a couple of weeks ago Irfan Zaman, repesenting Bromley in the Youth Games held at Crystal Palace was delighted to win Gold in the U12 Individual Time Trial, no mean feat when up against 120 other contestents from across the London Boroughs.

So there's plenty of good news to be shouting about in the cycling world at the moment. What better excuse to get on your bike and join them!

Bromley has a fantastic array of cycle routes that the whole family can join in and enjoy. The Borough boast over 100 miles of cycle routes which have been created to make cycling a safer and more enjoyable pasttime. Cycle routes are either in quiet residential areas or in completely off road locations such as Jubilee Park.

Why not head out with the family for the day on one of the 12 designated routes across the borough? Head out on mainly quiet quiet roads onto routes that link our local towns, sometimes using off-road routes with fabulous scenery to enjoy.

Bromley Council has an excellent downloadable map of the local cycle routes in the area - click here to take a look and plan your day.

Get on your bike and enjoy the Bromley countryside right on your doorstep!
