Karen Jefferys from JusB shares why community giving makes such a difference...
As you may have seen from the latest TV advert featuring Delia Smith and Heston Blumenthal, Waitrose is giving more money away this year through its green token Community Matters scheme.
Through December, Burnt Ash Waitrose has selected JusB as one of the charities that can benefit from this scheme.
Please collect your tokens at the checkout and consider popping them in the JusB slot.
Whilst writing this blog I would also like to thank all those who gave money in honour of my family and I doing the Santa Dash to raise money for Jus B.
So far we have raised almost £1,000 from supporters doubling the first £10 of their donation online, through cheques and two collections in Bromley Sainsbury’s.
Funny photos of hundreds of santas can be viewed on our Facebook page.
THANK YOU again to all those who give to JusB. Local Giving will be continuing to double the value of gifts (up to £10) until their pot of funding runs out.
Wishing you peace and joy this Christmas.
