Firstly! Just a reminder that the weekly market runs every Friday and Saturday in the pedestrian area. The market includes stalls of bread, cheese, fish, meats, fruit, veg and much more! Come along and have a look around what's on offer!

Good news! - Footfall increase

The April figures show that compared to last year the footfall has increased by 9.8% in the town centre.  

Update on Christmas lights 2011

You will shortly be receiving a newsletter outlining how we can all work together to create a festive Christmas lights display in Bromley Town Centre in 2011.  Lets all work together to ensure visitors, shoppers and traders in our town centre are assured of a happy and prosperous Christmas in 2011.

Development Update

Pavilion Leisure Centre - refurbishment started in May to include ten pin bowling alley, work completed by Spring 2012.

Westmoreland Road Car Park -  Consultation event scheduled for Friday 8th, Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th July more details to follow.  Planning application to be submitted in September 2011 for multi-plex cinema, hotel, food outlets and residential units.

Old Town Hall - Developers confirmed.  Planning application expecting to be received in September to include hotel and conference centre and residential units.

Bromley South Station - refurbishment to include drop off facilities, disabled access, repairs, alterations and refurbishment of station building to be completed in time for the Olympics in 2012. 

Bromley North Village Public Realm Improvements - detailed designs are being drawn following the stakeholder event held in April.  Businesses currently being surveyed on their service and delivery arrangements.  Consultation expected in September 2011. 

Promotional opportunities

Businesses are being offered the opportunity use stalls in the pedestrian area every Friday for free!  There are stalls available (as part of the weekly market) where businesses could promote themselves and/or offer food tastings.  Dates are being booked up quickly so please contact me if you are interested.

Waitrose Community Matters Scheme
