Bromley Borough is the largest London Borough by geographical size and there's plenty of great stuff that really is a must see or do for residents and visitors alike.

Here we give you our top finds:

Let me entertain you

You don't need to travel up to London to get your fix of entertainment, it's all on your doorstep. Take in the latest show at The Churchill Theatre, who this year alone welcomes household names like Dawn French and Natalie Imbruglia. There's always something to keep you interested.

Or for a big screen fix away from the national chain cinemas, you could support the initiative started by Langley Park School for Boys who screen popular films at their 'Filmbox' pop up cinema.

Retail therapy

You truly are spoiled for choice when it comes to retail therapy in Bromley Borough. Whether it's the designer section of the department store Intu (formerly The Glades), the boutiques in Beckenham High Street or the chains in Chislehurst, whatever you're after isn't too far away.

Historical highs

The Old Bromley College is steeped in history. Founded in 1666 the colleges are a haven of tranquility in Bromley's bustling surroundings. Wander round and see the beautiful architecture of the old colleges. Or you could also visit the Crofton Roman Villa in Orpington, site of Roman remains that can be traced back to 140AD.

For more recent history, visit Biggin Hill Airport which was the base for the RAF Fighter Command during World War 2. The airport offers a number of open days throughout the year where you can tour the airport and see what goes on behind the scenes, as well as learn about its history.

And our natural attraction is of course the Chislehurst Caves where you can take hourly tours of the undergrown caverns.

Work up an appetite

It's time to get physical! If braving the elements isn't on the cards, visit one of the Borough's many fitness centres - we can recommend Nuffield Health from personal experience!

But if the weather's looking bright, why not head on on the bikes on one of the borough's 100 miles of cycle routes?

Food for thought

Where do we start?! When it comes to eating out in the Borough we really are spoilt for choice. If it's fine dining you're after then Chapter One in Farnborough Common is the Michelin starred restaurant that is a popular choice. One of our personal favourites is La Rascasse in Beckenham which always serves up deliciously authentic French food.

For Italian fayre, Ferrari's has a menu to die for and the portions of hearty food at The Coney never disappoint.

If it's just a light lunch, coffee or cake you're after then we just love The Lavender House in Sundridge Park is a huge hit with grown ups and little people alike.

There's loads to see and do in Bromley Borough so get ourself there and make the most of what's right on your doorstep!
