Renowned comedian Phil Nichol is bringing a tour to the UK for the first time in 7 years with his show Trying My Best.
This new show, an amalgamation of his best bits, is coming to Bristol on the 24th of March at The Gaffe. Phil's favourite songs, routines, and stand-up are all packaged into a thrilling, uproarious evening of frenetic silliness.
The tour marks his long-awaited return to stand-up after, since Nichol's career focus on acting lead him to performing in Spiegelworld's Atlantic City cabaret-circus production The Hook, where he starred as Dick Marlin.
Trying My Best will be a night hard to forget, with Nichol performing his modern classic songs You Can’t Stay That to Me, Sleazy Massage, Elvis Sucks and his Corky classic Only Gay Eskimo. Mixed between the songs are madcap routines and stories about Phil’s life as a Canadian in the UK, the frustrations of modern-day transport, musing on the English sense of humour and proclivity for alcohol and some quick-fire one-liners that would make Milton Jones proud.
