There isn't much that can't be insured these days. Some insurance is a legal requirement, such as cars and houses - you wouldn't be able to own those items without it, while others are considered optional, nice to have for the peace of mind they bring, like health, travel, pets or your home contents.
Then there's the weird and wonderful category. 30,000 policies against alien abduction have been sold worldwide (apparently coverage is double if they, well, you know...) and the set of Star Trek was insured against 'almost any imaginable peril' More aliens maybe. Beam us up...
It's well known now that certain celebrities have insured there various body parts, fingers, voice, tongue or yes, bottom. Understandable when their livelihoods depend on them.
Whether a Australian crocodile attack, being hit by objects falling from space or being kidnapped on holiday, everyone worries about something. Good job you have insurance.
