I'm pleased to report from Colin Land of Brackley Male Voice Choir, that the concert on Saturday was so successful.
"A packed Brackley Town hall rocked to a sell out concert on Saturday evening. The packed audience were treated to a two hour concert of varying musical styles. Brackley Male Voice Choir opened the concert with a Cole Porter medley followed by a succession of popular show songs. After a clarinet solo from Trevor Jones, the Choir’s Musical Director, the 5 Ways Barbershop Chorus produced a stunning performance of harmony singing interspersed with humorous stories.
The second half of the concert was opened by the first public appearance of The Stone Brothers Trio, Jacob, Noah and Louis, who mesmerised the audience with their musical talents for men so young.
After another great set from 5 Ways Barbershop Chorus, Brackley Male Voice Choir sang their final set of Showtime tunes culminating with an encore of Lullaby of Broadway, to a thunderous ovation from the knowledgeable audience.
New members for the Choir are welcome; all you need is a love of singing. Practice is on Monday evenings at 7:30p.m in Magdalen School Chapel, High St. Brackley.
No auditions or musical experience is required.
