My wife and I stayed here last week. It was supposed to have been the week before but we received and email saying they could not honour our booking because of a large company boking had not left. This did screw up our plans with some friends we had arranged to meet. In fairness an alternative booking had been made at the Mercure hotel, but it is too far away considering our other plans.

We were offered the penthouse suite and complimentary breakfast for the following week which we accepted. The room was clean and very spacious - separate living room area and large bathroom. If I was to complain about anything it would be only the view of the car park rather than the pitch. Two large flat screen tv's with a good range of channels. Rooms very quiet and we had a good nights sleep. Breakfast the next day was more than acceptable. Free wifi - with good bandwdth is worth a mention and can be used for as many devices as you want, no registration codes or other messing around.

Only item I would mention - is in the guest information it says only food and drink bought on the premises can be consumed in your room ( yes in your room ! ) and if noticed you can be charged/fined in some way. Not sure how legal it is to do this and I think it is utterly ridiculous rule. If I bring a packet of crisps or bottle of water in the room I can be charged it seems ( if somebody notices ). Would love to see a response from DeVere management on this.

Anyway, to sum up, yes there was a problem with my original booking but DeVere, made it right.
Sometimes things go wrong and it is what you do about it that counts.

Good location next to the retail park, good wifi, nice clean rooms and hotel, polite attentive staff. I would go back again for sure.

Handy location being a few minutes off the M61. Modern clean hotel with leisure facilities forming part of the Reebok Stadium.
We had a really nice room overlooking the football pitch.
Bar is reasonably priced as was the coffee bar £2.95 for a really nice Latte.
Wasn't the warmest of greets on check in but overall the staff were great. TV s are not great and need upgrading in my opinion. Really comfy beds though.
Modern retail shopping area a few minutes away with numerous chain restaurants to choose from.
Well worth a visit if staying in the Bolton area.

We LOVED this place!!!!!!!!

Got a really good weekend rate and travelled only a few miles from Manchester, but loved the experience.

This hotel is beautiful.. we walked in and said "WOW".. the reception area is magnificent, the staff checked us in efficiently and all was good!

The room was excellent, everything we needed, plus and comfortable.

Before going out for the evening we did a walk around the hotel and ventured into the restaurant... well... it is amazing, overlooking the football ground, views were breathtaking.

We had a brilliant night out on the complex next door, we went shopping, then bowling and then had a good evening at a nice Chinese restaurant.

We went back to the hotel and had drinks in the fantastic bar before going back to the room for the night.

Yes... this is Bolton.... but yes............ it was BRILLIANT !!!

Go and see it for yourselves!

Overall this was a great stay, and good value for money. I stayed here with my other half as we were going to go ape which was nearby the next day. I purchased the Love Sunday Special offer which included dinner, bed and breakfast which was only £30 more than the price of a double room. Considering breakfast for 2 would have been about £21 you couldn't beat it. (you can only get this deal on their actual website)
After settling in to our clean spacious room with a huge bed, we went and used the pool jacuzzi and sauna facilities which were nice and quiet and free of charge.
Unfortunately the reflections restaurant was closed and we were told that we could only chose our meal off the bar menu, despite the restaurant having menus at a set price they still allowed us to chose any 3 courses each off the bar menu to honour their agreement of a 3 course meal at the hotel.
Although its a shame we couldn't eat in the restaurant as it overlooked the pitch (you could still go in and have a nosy) we ate in the bar and the food was beautiful, we had some lovely homemade soup of the day, a main each and some yummy chocolate melt in the middle puddings. Some of the staff in the bar didn't seem aware of what was happening with the restaurant been closed and the meal deal but overall good service and they asked if we needed a break in between courses, which we did cos they were so filling!
Breakfast was great, better than I've had at other hotels, for example there was hardly any fat on the bacon which is always a bonus!
A lovely hotel would definitely stay again

We took advantage of a deal to stay at this hotel, the price was excellent and we had a lovely room. We enjoyed breakfast in the morning and found the choice and food to be good. All the staff that we had dealings with were very friendly and helpful. The pool and Jacuzzi were good and quiet so had chance to swim in private. The views from the restaurant overlook the Bolton fc football pitch which is an amazing setting for dinner. There is an industrial estate nearby with a selection of shops and a very good choice of restaurants. The prices in the hotel bar were good too and we even met a celebrity footballer in the bar. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would return.

Stayed in this hotel quite a few times now, very handy for Manchester city,Trafford centre, and Bolton city centre. Great rooms, great breakfast, if there was any complaint at all it would be the bar prices, but these are no worse than any other hotel of similar quailty. Will certainly stay again.

I had the pleasure of staying at the De Vere Whites Hotel at the Reebok Stadium last week, and can tell you that it is a very pleasant experience. The parking is right at the door and is free, and the hotel itself is very interesting, especially as the prive via Trivago wa sonly £49 for a double room.

The fact that it is part of a football stadium makes for the initial appeal, but this theme isn't really carried out anywhere else in the hotel. This was a shame for me, but I suspect other travellers may actually be relieved by this!

Reception and check in were first rate, and the interior of the hotel is very interesting indeed. A central staircase leads you up to various different levels for sitting, the bar, the restaurant and so on. The only criticism I would have is the restaurant lacks a little soul - it feels a bit sterile.

You will need to let them know if you're not capable of managing stairs too. There is a lift, of course, but I still had to go up a small flight of stairs after the lift to get to my room. I was also left waiting to check out as there was only one member of staff working. A minor point, but if I had been in a bit of a rush to leave to get to an appointment or some such I would have been more annoyed by this.

Overall a good experience, though, and if I'm ever staying in Bolton again I shall certainly think to stay here.

The rooms in this hotel are the real talking point, mine had a full length view of the football pitch! This is definitely a novelty that didn't wear off on our party. The rooms & hotel are clean & well maintained. The restaurant was just ok, there was nothing wrong with the food or decor but nothing to write home about either. The bar shut about 11am despite there being a crowd of 20+ people over several parties still there. In the end the night porter served everyone! The retail park next door provided plenty of amenities despite the hotel looking like it was in the middle of no-where. Overall a good hotel for a night or two.
