The architecture is unusal and impressive and the rooms took out onto the pitch of the Reebok stadium. This makes for a very quiet place to sleep when no matches are in progress. The service in the spacious restaurant was very attentive and the food excellent. I was recommended to try the soup served in a hollowed out cottage loaf and this was a great success. It was not very busy and it seems a pity that nothing is done to promote in-house dining: the dining room is accessed over an internal bridge but there is nothing to tell guests of its whereabouts.
The service in the breakfast room was also good and the food hot.
Negatives were: the room was cold when I arrived and I could not get the heating system to deliver. However, an electric heater was also provided and this did the job. The bedroom light system was complicated and no written instructions were provided. The bar staff did not seem to appreciate being told the bar needed a clean.

Not a destination hotel. A business hotel or there if you are going to the football. Little else to entice you there. Hotel was fine and comfortable. Difficult to get too excited by it, but equally no major faults. Had food in the bar area. Bar itself lacking in any character but food was good and presented very well. Good value for money. The rooms were fine and again can't complain, but nothing to get too excited about. If you happen to be there for business, happily book it.

Very friendly staff, everyone very welcoming from the second we walked through the door to the moment we left. Rooms were modern and clean, we got upgraded to a room with a pitch view which is really quite something even for someone who isn't a Bolton fan...or a football fan for that matter!!! Great all round hotel, food was excellent and the bar prices weren't as bad as we'd expected for a 4* hotel.

Best thing about the hotel is how easy it is to get to from the motorway. It is comfortable, clean and has a good restuarant. Service was very good, particularly as I had left something in my room and the housekeeper couldn't do enough to help. Only down side was the location. It is attached to the football stadium, on the edge of a retail park, so there was not a lot to do in the evenings.

We booked into this hotel last minute as we had driven up from the midlands. Even though there was a wedding that evening, they were still able accomodate us. They gave us a pitch room which was great. They quickly brought a cot for our daughter who was with us. The room was big, with the usual tea and coffee facilities, and had a bath with a shower which was good. The room was very comfortable, the company was perfect and its ideal for if you wish to visit Rivington the next day which was what we did. I can't wait to stay here again.

Having previously been to the Reebok Stadium to watch Arsenal play I had noticed this hotel when arrving at the stadium and decided to give it a try when next in the North West.
My wife and I decided to use this as a base for visiting Manchester .
We found the hotel offered value for money that we couldn't find in Central Manchester.
The room was clean and spacious enough for two, no complaints about the staff who were very helpful and after a very comfortable nights sleep we had a lovely breakfast as well.
I would have no problem in staying here again.

i become really irked when hotels offer great rates to stay then think that service doesn't matter - 2 weeks after my stay at this hotel i'm beginning to think De Vere Whites falls into this category!

the location of this hotel is great if you want to avoid central Manchester yet remain within easy distance of the city or the North West. it's also really pleasant in its design and is clean and welcoming on arrival. i also love the fact that this hotel has many places to sit and chill, enjoy a drink or a chat with friends or somewhere quiet to meet a business associate and i also love that you can pick up great deals... i stayed for less than £40.

the problem i do have is that, although i needed little the night i stayed the 2 things i did require - room service food and a morning newspaper - were both left wanting and that makes me wonder if the service is up to it.

i ordered sandwiches and a drink to the room and it took 55 minutes from my initial order; admitedly 10 minutes of these i was waiting for a new menu as the one in my room was outdated! the next morning i went to pick up my newspaper only to find that the one i'd requested was not the one i received.

both of these are small matters but they mattered to me, in order to make my stay more pleasurable - and let's face it 2 things wrong out of 2 isn't a great success rate!

finally, i left a written comment in my room for the attention of the manager and, as i write this, 2 weeks later i am yet to receive a response - that, for me, speaks volumes!

Stayed overnight on a groupons offer, food not included but lots of restaurants within walking distance. Not interested that much in football but amazing views of the stadium which is an integral part of the ground.

The leisure facilities were quite small and in the basement, but clean and adequate.

Friendly reception staff allowed us to check in early but our first room appeared to be noisy so we went back to reception who quickly gave us an internal room with fabulous views of the pitch. The room was nice except for the shower which had very low pressure but thats a minor issue. We didn't use the leisure facilities which looked nice . All in all it was a comortable stay and the location for us was excellent for touring the immediate area. Get this hotel on the Devere sale and its really good value

Stayed for 2 nights 2nd and 3rd May and booked last minuite - excellent value rooms, great location near motorway links. Use of leisure facilities included, and complimentary tea and coffee in rooms. Rooms are clean, comfortable and a good size. Walking distance to extensive shopping centre and restaurants, railway link and cinema. Nice bar area and large restaurants, 1 of which overlooks the pitch. Quiet pool with sauna and steam room. Very pleasant staff. Internet facility at the hotel but is chargeable. Enjoyed our stay here and would deffinately return.
