I stayed here on the 1st April - as an away supporter for the Reading Bolton match..
Great hotel but what made my visit was the superb service and attentiveness from one individual- a lovely lady who was working the bar area early on in the morning.
Sorry didn’t catch her name but please go back and check the Rota…she is to be commended fully - absolute gem.

Had an absolutely brilliant night last night at The Octagon Theatre, watching
JOHN GODBER's "Bouncers." Laugh out loud funny and a times quite poinient. What a brilliant cast, if you can remember clubbing in the 80s, you'll recognise most if not all of the characters.

Went down for what was advertised as a mind, body spirit fair, was actually a small craft fair with added tarot card reader.
The place seemed ok for a hotel that's probably conference based. The receptionist was very nice and helpful, and they had nice old deep basins in the toilets. The gents anyway, don't know about the ladies

Dave the Engineer came out today, to fix/replace our Hardwood Conservatory door locks that were jammed locked. Dave was very helpful, knowledgeable and professional in his assessment and fortunately managed to open the stuck french doors, remove and repair the mechanisms, then re-fit in full working order. Excellent job without causing any damage to the doors. Highly recommended !!

Only saw the hotel when it was used as a hifi exhibition. Current owners have taken over whole site when the tea shop and pub used to be independently run. Now a lot of houses built around the hotel so doesn't have that isolated feel. New fitness block added too but only came to look at the shops. Not what it used to be.

Sushma's food is delicious and amazing! Can't fault Sushma and her food in anyway! From catering at all my corporate and personal events to even doing us healthy delicious takeaway meals no job is too big or small for Sushma and to top it all her spice racks are a genius invention and make wonderful delicious home made food, being so easy to follow and use every house should have a spice rack in their kitchen.
