Staying at the tired Mercure at Blackrod, was looking forward to using the swimming pool and maybe booking a massage like we’ve done on so many other occasions while staying here visiting family but the pool is out of use and there’s currently no leisure facilities available. There’s been no alteration to prices to account for this however. Rooms are looking very old, Ryan gave us great service on the bar last night though and I managed to get my hair cut by the lovely Becca. Shame we probably won’t stay here again unless a big refurb is due and those facilities get re-established!

Staff who seat you need to be told to explain to arriving guests that you go to the counter to place an order when ready. I waited and waited for my order to be taken but no one bothered to explain the system.
Food was good. The cod was white, flaky and tasty. Chips piping hot.
Reasonable value for money in a pleasamt atmosphere.

Came today for a beautiful afternoon in the most luxury place fish and chips were hot, fresh and delicious. We had scones with jam and cream which were amazing tea and freshwater on the table. Amazing piano singer staff were amazing and even joined in with the fun which was a fun pack day. highly recommend this restaurant and will be back again thank you
