East Is East
What an absolutely brilliant show! East Is East was an incredible experience from start to finish, and I genuinely enjoyed every minute of it. The acting was fantastic, with an incredibly talented cast who brought so much energy, humour and emotion to the stage. Every character felt believable and memorable, and the chemistry between the cast really made the whole production come alive.
Having seen the film, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from the stage show, but I was pleasantly surprised by how it managed to feel familiar while also bringing something completely different to the story. There are definitely some twists and changes compared with the film, which made it feel fresh rather than simply being a recreation of something we’ve already seen. I really enjoyed the different direction the show took and thought it worked brilliantly on stage.
There was a fantastic balance of comedy and more serious, emotional moments. One minute you’re laughing out loud, and the next you’re completely drawn into the characters and the situations they find themselves in. That mixture is what made the show so enjoyable and gave it plenty of depth rather than making it just a straightforward comedy.
The performances were the real highlight for me. The acting was absolutely amazing, and the cast put so much effort and personality into their roles. You could tell there was a huge amount of commitment and talent behind the production, and it made the whole show feel energetic and engaging from beginning to end.
Even if you’ve seen the film, I would definitely recommend giving the show a chance because it has its own identity and brings a different twist to a story many people already know and love. It’s funny, entertaining, heartfelt and, overall, just an epic night out.

Facilities were nice. Wish we had been warned we have to rebook spa facility use if wanting to go between 1-7pm as we could not get in as was fully booked when we arrived

Lots of equipment for a 24/7 gym. Good etiquette, clean and enough weights for heavy loads. Lockers could be bigger though. And a lat pullover machine would be amazing. Very satisfied and would recommend.

I’ve had an amazing experience at The Gym Group Watford. The atmosphere is really welcoming, and the equipment is top-notch. I especially want to mention Matt—he is incredibly knowledgeable, he took the time to answer all my questions, and he really helped me. I’d recommend this gym to anyone!”

I signed my twin boys up for an over 14 gym membership at the Sittingbourne gym at swallows leisure centre it has been excellent for them for the last year and a bit. I can't fault any of the staff, the guy that did the induction day was brilliant and my boys have had an all round positive experience. Now my boys are moving on and have started a 6th form in a different area, so no longer required their membership. It seems that given how punctual you need to be with cancelling, more seem to make it as difficult as possible to do this. I received one email back explaining that my boys needed to cancel their membership via their own email addresses, which they did and have not had any correspondence for just over a week. I have phoned the number to speak to someone about cancelling and have been placed on hold for up to 45 mins every day for the last week. This has been extremely frustrating as I do not want to pay another month when my kids won't be using the gym and I'm trying to get ahead of being charged. I have had no alternative but to cancel my direct debit, I'm in no mans land on this and can't waste anymore time trying to speak with someone to cancel.
Unfortunately, this kind of customer service is unacceptable and can potentially cause a lot of stress for people when money is a bit tighter these days.
I'm hoping they don't reinstate the direct debit as I will be furious considering I tried for a whole week to contact them. I'm self employed and don't have the time to sit on the phone all day trying to cancel a gym membership. Such a shame a positive experience on one side was working well and let down by the administrative side.
In a bizarre coincidence, I received an email shortly after submitting this review with helpful information and letting me know things have been resolved. I'll increase my score to 3 from 2 for that. Still much more improvement needed regarding other contact options though.
