We got a great deal at £29 rm/night on Devere website and this hotel is a great hub for touring about Manchester and Liverpool as it's just off the motorway.

The room was very clean with large comfortable bed. Bar area was very relaxed, breakfasts were extremely varied and tasty. The gym and swimming pool was very clean and of a decent size. Also had jacuzzi, sauna, steam room etc.

Highly recommend.

First time staying in a De Vere hotel. We took advantage of the summer £29 a room deal and I was impressed. It was very clean, the rooms were modern and a good size. Didn't realise about that swimming pool and heath suite until too late but that is another added bonus. Also quite interesting in that it is built into the stand at the Reebok stadium which makes it something a little different - had a wander into one of the restaurants and there is a great view of the pitch.

Would definitely recommend and would stay here again!

Whites has impressed me. It was great value for a four star hotel. The staff were very helpful. The room was very nicely equipped; the food was both excellent and good value ... and it has free Wi-Fi. It is everything that other chains should be. I'll be back!

I have stayed at this hotel several times on business and would definitely recommend it. The location is on the outskirts of Bolton near Horwich at the Reebok Football stadium which is the home of Bolton Wanderers Football Club. It is just 500 yards off Junction 6 of the M61 motorway, Horwich Parkway Railway station is just 400 yards away, Manchester centre and Preston centre are about 25 minutes drive away. The hotel has good clean bedrooms with tea & coffee tray and some rooms have excellent views over the Football Pitch, the rooms also have a good sized bathroom, free fast wifi in the bedrooms and public areas, good indoor pool and spa with gym, sauna and steam room facilities, the hotel has ample free parking but I guess this could be very busy on football match days. The bar, restaurant and lounge areas in the hotel are very comfortable and all staff are extremely friendly and professional, an excellent buffet breakfast with lots of choice of hot and cold food selections gives you a great start to the day, and you can have breakfast delivered to your room for just £3 supplement per room, this is highly recommended when the hotel is busy because the restaurant can become chaotic and crowded. The only negative points I could find about this hotel are that on hot days the bedrooms could become uncomfortably stuffy because of lack of air conditioning, but fans are provided, also, unless you have a football pitch room, the windows in the rooms are very small and can make the rooms look dark. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I will return again very soon.

My partner and i got a great deal on this hotel, so we were more than a bit impressed with the hotel, I have never stayed in a De Vere hotel before and since this stay i have been to a few more and they are all of the same excellent standard. The rooms were clean and spacious, and eventhough we were a bit apprehensive as there was a large party being held at the hotel on the night we stayed, it was so well organised it didnt affect any of the other visitors and there was plenty of room in the car park. We didnt book breakfast, but from what we could see it looked yummy, and we would definately stay gain.

My husband & I stayed at the De Vere Whites on a business trip. Check in / check out was easy & fast, ample safe parking for guests. No lift to our floor where our room was, we had to go up a floor then walk down a set of stairs & the rooms weren't easy to find. The rooms were very small with small beds (double) fixtures & fitting dated, however they were clean. We ate at the hotel my tip is not to bother, the chicken was tough & looked like it had been left in the oven for hours. This was by far the worst food I have ever had in a hotel & breakfast was not much better.

I was here recently for a business function at the stadium. No complaints but it's just a very average hotel. Fine for business, clean, breakfast ok, service good.

Just don't expect the world!

I stayed here to run a conference and found the young conference gentleman (Will?) great. He was very professional and helped make the event a great success - full marks here. Staff in the hotel are very helpful, a gentleman carried my bags across to the conference area. I had a good night's sleep, nice and quiet - but to be honest the rooms are nothing special, if it was a romantic weekend away i'd want a bit of luxury. I did very much appreciate a late check out though. Free wi-fi was a bonus, room service was disappointing - I ordered twice and both times my orders were slightly wrong- no yogurt, cold toast that wasn't at all brown ( I suggest covering in a napkin as other hotels do),all sandwich filling requested not included and wrong cereal. Attention to detail needs to be better - I didn't get the morning paper I ordered either although staff did give me a free different paper. I think the staff are great and friendly just a little more care needs to be given with details, also I don't like having to ask to have charity donations taken off my bill - they should be an 'opt in' not an opt out of.
It would be easy to amend these details to make this a brilliant stay rather than a very good one.

The hotel is easy to find (same site as Reebok Stadium) and has a massive car park. The whole place is very well appointed and the staff good at their jobs and friendly. I thought the design and equipping of the bedrooms was excellent.

The food is very good quality though the Sunday evening menu is very restricted (and very few diners) - they ought to try a bit harder on this aspect of their otherwise first class operation.
