this is a decent de vere. unspectacular, but nothing wrong.
does a very good cooked breakfast.
all the staff are lovely and charming, helped by their boltonian accents.
a good location for a work conference, good transport links and amenities.
there is a nandos round the corner!!
the rooms were a touch on the small side. bouncy bed. sky sports. decent shower.

We stayed in early August, with our two children of 11 and 15 years. We had initially booked one family room next door at the Premier Inn but noted that this hotel were promoting an offer where if we booked one double room, they would provide an inter-connecting twin room FOC. Excellent! Two bathrooms which would speed us on our onward journey the following day. Son was excited to be staying in a football stadium too!
Rooms were reasonably spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The staff were very pleasant at Reception and at breakfast service, and the hot breakfast was delicious with plentiful supplies of fresh fruit, bread and cereals.
If I was picky over anything it would perhaps be the very firm bed - but then this is a personal thing and what's good for one perhaps isn't right for another so wouldn't prevent me staying again.
We were all particularly 'wowed' by the view from the restaurant of the inside of the Reebok Stadium - worth a look if you don't dine in there!

The hotel is integrated into The Reebok Stadium which is Bolton Wanderers home ground. The rooms are a good size, well equipped and the beds are comfortable. Bathroom is spacious and the shower is adequate though nothing special.
Breakfast was your standard buffet style hotel fair, nothing to get excited about but all edible. The bar and restaurant was nice enough but expensive as you would expect in this style of hotel. There was a smallish Gym and Spa but last entry was 9PM so I never got round to using it.
The staff and service was ok but nobody was particularly friendly or looked like they were happy to be there.
The location is very good as it is close enough to the motorway to be convenient without the noise and there is a train station a few hundred yards away with trains to Bolton, Manchester and Blackpool.
It is situated on the edge of a retail park so plenty of choices of places to eat like Nandos, Pizza Hut, a Chinese restaurant, McDonalds and Subway. Also there are lots of shops including Asda, Tesco, M&S and Boots. There is a Cinema and a bowling alley as well.
I only paid £75 a night B&B not sure I would be prepared to pay much more particularly if it was my own money but overall fairly good value for money,

I've stayed here numerous times and in the main I like the hotel.
Staff I have always found most helpful and polite - my last booking I believed was for a double room but was allocated a twin, went back down to reception and the team swiftly and politely changed it to a Double, it was my error on the initial booking.
The Hotel is clean, bright with pretty good facilities including a huge car park.
Down sides? To be honest very few:
Charging for Wifi in this day and age is a poor show and i would urge the hotel to review their policy (or the group if it is group (DeVere) policy).
The other down side that gets me every time I stay here for a function is there is no direct access to the Premier Suite as a guest - You can spend a fortune on new clothes and hair do's only to have to walk around the side of a very exposed venue open to the elements.

The two criticisms apart I love this place and am already booked to go back next month.

Stayed on business, had an amazing room with view of the football pitch, room very clean and bed extremely comfy, making it really difficult to get up in the morning. Conference room again overlooiing the football pitch - extremely pleasant stay

Stopped at De Verse Whites for the second time this week. Overall a well kept, well managed hotel. Totally recommended.

Rooms that look out onto the stadium are highly recommended

Staff were friendly and attentive. Rooms of reasonably high standard. The numbering on the lifts was confusing, for my room number the lift information advised floor 4, yet there wasn't a button for floor 4. I got out at floor 3 and a staff member directed me to my accomodation.....it wasn't serviced by a lift at all!
Perhaps it was because I was attending a business conference but the evening meal was of average quality and small portions. We had to select our meals in advance (2-3 weeks)and as there was no copy of the submitted spread sheet to hand, no one could remember their selection and as the last table served we unfortunately had to take what was left. It could well have been an organising member of our party who was at fault here. Excellent breakfast and very pleasant staff to look after your every need. Okay for a business meeting but don't fancy it for anything else.

...because I would have been more disappointed if I'd paid the usual £70!
Room seemed very dated for the age of the hotel, very chintzy, heavy colours and clashing patterns. My main gripe was the poor cleanliness, drink marks all over glass shelves, crumbs on the floor and window sill and dirty paper coasters under the 'clean' glasses, yuk!!
On the plus side the hotel is a good size, with a big bar area, restaurants and the leisure centre (pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna), a great way to while away a couple of hours.
There was a match on the day we stayed (FA Cup drawn after we booked), so parking, check in, bars were very busy but it gave the place a nice buzz and bit of atmosphere.
Good location, just a couple of minutes walk up to the cinema, shops and restaurants at Middlebrook.

Booked 2 rooms for us and friends. The rooms were comfortable. Reception staff were helpful and pleasant. Felt welcomed. Small gym full of modern equipment, gym instructor kindly showed us round the gym and swimming pool area. The swimming pool was small but really lovely. Liked the low ceilings which made it feel different. Sauna and steam room was great. Location was fantastic for football, shops and restaurants. We didn't eat at the hotel, although I would have liked to have tried the food. We went to a restaurant across the road.
I would go back to the hotel. Value for money for the price we paid. I'll give the hotel top marks.
