pleasant enough but now restrictive
3 of us stay here at least twice a year and all really like it.
you now have to book to use the thermal suite and are now restricted to 50 minutes which for us was not long enough. We wasn’t made aware of this until check in.

The staff were lovely, really comfy bed
The room was clean but there were opened sweets in 1 of the cupboards which had been left by the last occupant. The lighting wasn't very good for make up.

Holiday Inn Express, Bolton would be my first choice stay, if I visited another time.
Breakfast had multiple options from English Fried Breakfast to Fruit and Yoghurt. Bed was comfy and the room was in a quiet location. Very friendly and helpful staff too. Loved the Hydration station and I even met the lady who' explained to me how she made it. Chef's secrets are not always forthcoming.
That the swimming pool was not available.
