I am a bit shocked at how run-down the rooms are considering the hotel space downstairs is immaculate.
I have now stayed in the hotel four times over the past three years (the most recent two visits were with my partner and the previous two were with my company).

My biggest bug-bear is the carpets throughout the hotel, most of the carpets in the hotel either need a VERY deep clean or they need replacing, I don’t usually get the “ICK” with anything but the carpets definitely give me the ick.

The bathrooms in atleast half of the hotel haven’t been replaced for atleast 20-years and are now looking very dated compared to their competitors.

If the investment was put into the hotel I could easily see it rising from a four star to five star hotel.

My other issue with the rooms is the severe lack of electrical sockets to plug anything in. Especially as the rooms aren’t air-conditioned and desk fans need to be used to cool down the rooms. The hotel should definitely invest in air-conditioning in all the bedrooms seeming the summers are only going to get hotter and hotter and desk fans are pretty rubbish at cooling down a boiling hot room.
Additionally the sockets at the side of the bed are at an annoying height and positions (the light switches and socket should be above one another, rather than side by side), because currently if you want to plug anything in, you have to move whatever you have on the bedside shelf to be able to plug something in (better thought about how people will actually use the room, helps in avoiding these mistake that annoy people).

It would also be nice if each room had a small fridge, to keep Milk and other things cool in, rather than sitting on a counter/table and going off after just a day because the room is so warm

Finally the layout of the car-park needs a serious looking at, if you own a long car (like a coupe) it’s really hard to get out of the parking spaces when the car-park is full. The front car-park ideally needs to be extended

Our 1st facial ESPA treatment at the Last Drop and won't be our last. We had a joint treatment room and our therapists Almas and Ria where professional. Informative and absolutely amazing. Our facial were perfect, relaxing and the products not only smelt beautiful, they were carefully selected to match our skin types and selected carefully for specific allergies.
We highly recommend Almas and Ria and this treatment.

I had an inner beauty facial and inner calm massage today and both were absolutely amazing. The therapist Ria was friendly, explained everything clearly and her overall manner was relaxing and calming. When I arrived, the reception staff were also very welcoming and friendly, showing me upstairs to the relaxation area where I chilled before my treatments. Highly recommend Ria, who is extremely good at what she does. She asked if I'd like her to focus on any areas, and now my upper back is knot free!! I cam away feeling like a new person with glowing skin, couldn't be happier. I'll be back soon for more 😀❤️

We had our wedding at the last drop village 10.10.2025 we paid for a wedding package that included the food and the DJ with some drinks and canopies.
We stayed the night before the big day and we booked the honeymoon suite the day before as we also got that room as part of the package.
Well what a day we had nothing was too much trouble for our wedding co-ordinate Jaqueline, she ensure the day went very smooth for us and it seems to just flow keeping us relaxed with no worries about anything , the team was just fantastic they work tirelessly to ensure our day was special , the food and drinks was really good and the DJ was brilliant too.
If you are thinking of getting married this venue is stunning with stunning views and the team on site are superb.

The spa is a bit strange. Pool and sauna are good. But the outside thermal pool is basically on a car park. Not great sitting there in your swimming costume with people walking past and parking cars feet away. Room was clean and the staff were friendly. Food was very good and staff were friendly. The village aspect was lovely but overall it felt like a spa hotel plonked in a housing estate

My Partner and I both stayed here for one night as an engagement celebratory Getaway. We arrived at reception and were greeted by a friendly and helpful gentleman with Blonde coloured hair. He told us our room wasn't quite ready yet but we are welcome to have coffee or some lunch In the bar area. We did exactly this and ordered the Steak Baguette sandwich and fish and chips. Both meals were absolutely yummy and good sized portions.

At around 1:45 we checked into our room, as the receptionist was able to get us in there that little bit earlier which is always nice! We were impressed with the room and happy with the cleanliness and facilities available. There was also a decent view of the Mountains from the room we stayed in. We then made our way to the spa where we were given towels but made aware there was a five pounds charge for the robes. We weren't aware of this prior to visiting the spa and could've prepared our own robes had we known this. That said, it is just one of those things and by no means upset us. The spa was really nice and the outdoor heated pool was refreshing...especially as it was quite a greyish day weather wise.

Before Dinner I planned on proposing to my partner in the lounge area that a girl called Mia had arranged with the night staff for us. Mia was very happy and professional in her communication of this with both myself and the night staff.

A girl called Regan had set everything up for when we came down. She was happy to take photos for us to mark the occasion and then lead us through to our cozy and discretely located table dressed with prosseco on ice and a celebratory plate with two mini chocolate cakes. Regan was so friendly and professional and nothing was too much trouble for her. She is clearly a leader and a great attribute to the establishment.

We ordered the grilled chicken and Lobster with Mac and cheese on the side...all of which were cooked to perfection. ( Huge compliments to the Chef ) !!! We haven't tasted Lobster so good in a long time.

Elsie, the waitress who took our orders and served us was just adorable. She was super friendly, always smiling and patient with us as we swapped and changed our minds....typical annoying customers!!! She went out of her way for us and took photos of us at the table. Such a beautiful person with an infectiously kind nature. It was an altogether amazing evening made extra special by the staff. Honestly we just cannot fault them. They really made our occasion extemely memorable.

We then went to the bedroom and slept peacefully in the comfortanle bed. Breakfast in the morning was equally as pleasing and after being promptly seated we were presented with a range of continental and cooked breakfast, again served promptly and with a smile. If I could find fault with Breakfast then the only thing would be is that there wasn't any honey but honestly this was nothing and somewhat irrelevant as the food was just so yummy and we were so grateful and appreciative.

What is not to like about The Last Drop Village. We know that we will certainly be returning. Thank you dearly to all the staff who made our stay and engagement celebrations so special and wonderful.

Fabulous full body Indian Hot Stone massage at the Last Drop Spa. My therapist, Shaista was amazing and I am floating around feeling hugely relaxed and content. 😌

We visited this hotel in October 2025 as part of our anniversary celebrations.

After reading the reviews we had fairly low expectations but have decided to give a fair review.

We arrived on Tuesday night and parking was quite tricky, however once we parked check in went smoothly and we went up to our room.

Our room was very spacious, the bathroom looked fairly new. The 'Happy anniversary' plate was a very nice touch and much appreciated. The room was cleaner than other hotels I have stayed in, but a notable exception was the mould growing around the plug holes and the dirty remote. After reading other reviews I packed cleaning wipes so we fixed this.

We didn't eat on site, the menus seemed to have a good range of food including vegetarian but didn't have anything that we fancied. We did order dessert via the room service which was lovely.

The pool/thermal suite

The thermal suite was nice, sadly the salt room was out of action which is disappointing as we were hoping to use that specifically. A couple of the rooms had minor repairs done but generally pleasant and relaxing.

The main problem in the thermal suite was people! The first night there was a couple outwardly engaging in more than 'heavy petting' and the second night there was a drunk lady shouting and singing (it later turned out she was roomed on the same corridor as us and kept us awake for a good portion of the night). There was discarded drinks bottles in the steam room and sauna and used chewing gum in the water fountain. Something to note is that a lot of people sit on their phones in the outdoor infinity pool despite signage, this did make me feel uncomfortable as you don't know if photos/videos are being taken. Perhaps if staff regularly walked around this would discourage some of the behaviours?

I did have a lovely treatment! One of the best massages I've ever had!

Staffing

Every single member of staff we encountered, be it a direct interaction or just in passing was polite, professional and it felt like they couldn't do enough. An absolute credit!

Overall we would go back to try and experience the thermal suite without disruption, and to get a full night's sleep

This place is very tired and the staff are just going through the motions. We were locked outside for 20 minutes after arrival in the cold when their entry key pads failed. Their security is so poor their internal (supposed to be locked) doors are left open at night. Their restaurant and breakfast staff are nonchalant and uninterested in attention to detail. We were left waiting for cutlery for breakfast. The toaster is ancient and terrible. The redeeming factor is the swimming pool and the location with access to great dog walks. Thank god we were only there for two nights and one of those we ate out ! No fridge in executive room or additional tv channels. No biscuits or extras in the rooms. Don’t ask about dietary needs you’ll be ignored.
