I can’t thank Rochelle & the team, Tracy, Abi, James, Katie, Irene just a few, enough for what they did for us. They made sure our day was perfect, Rochelle is amazing and such a perfectionist, just what any bride would want. I was so stressed leading up to the wedding with one thing and another but on the day I felt so calm and relaxed. Rochelle and Jimmy told me not to worry about a thing, that was their jobs! but to be honest they were that organised and professional.. but I must add friendly.. that there was nothing at all to worry about. They were absolutely amazing. I would 1000% recommend them and the hotel. Every member of staff at the hotel are wonderful and after visiting a number of times for different things have become like a second family, nothing is too much trouble for any of them.
Next the chef.. Keaton, all I can say is WOW, our guests will be talking about our ‘Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea’ for a long time.. it was amazing, both to look at and to taste, he certainly excelled!
On to our photographer Jo Bishop Photography she is fantastic, the best.. I am camera shy, but Jo made me feel so comfortable and confident. She is such a lovely person, we couldn’t have wished or wanted anyone else. It was like having your best friend there and having a good laugh. Saying that, she is very professional, but knows how to bring out the best in you. I didn’t want her to go when she’d finished, not to carry on working, I just enjoyed her company that much.
So to anyone booking the Mecure Hotel Georgian House & Jo Bishop Photography, you have booked a wonderful place and the best people to make your wedding perfect ❤️ and I wish you all the happiness in the world xx

Well what can I say and where do I start I had my wedding here on 8/6/24 my wedding planner Rochelle jeffereys was amazing from start to finish, she was more like a friend to us even pointing out things us brides forget about along the way lol, I would highly recommend having any event at the mecure and I will definitely be back next year to celebrate our 1 year anniversary for sure ❤️, Rochelle went above and beyond for us throughout our wedding from trying to find us a singer 3 days b4 as ours cancelled to sourcing us a new venue dresser at midnight the night before our wedding as ours massively let us down , I believe it was the one who the hotel actually use themselves and my room was out of this world , I am forever grateful to Rochelle and all the kind, caring staff at the hotel mecure and I class them all as family , love mr and mrs watkin Laura and Barry xxx

We stayed here on Saturday night for a Fawlty Towers night
We booked an early check in to make a weekend of it and use the pool and hot tub etc. Sadly the pool and hot tub were not in use and they’d no rooms available at 10-30am ( early check in from 10am). We had drinks in the bar until the room was ready at 12.30 pm but as we could not swim there was no reason to be there until 6pm
To be honest the room was nice and the breakfast ok but the food with the show was less good - the show itself was good though.
I felt ripped off by the early check in fee which was useless to me.
The bar in the foyer was pricey and poorly stocked but the lady there (Irene) worked hard - I got the idea that there were very few staff that day.
This is a nice hotel and it should be so much better….

Went with a group of friends for afternoon tea which was excellent plenty to eat, didn't manage to eat it all, our lovely waitress Irene boxed what was left for us to take home. she was very friendly kept us topped up with tea. Would definitely recommend it hope to come back soon.

Stayed as a family of 4 plus a dog on arrival room was lovely and clean and the travel cot ready for use. Family room was large and spacious

Lovely friendly hotel , food nice , breakfast lovely and the lovely Lydia who gives you a lovely welcome on arrival each morning , all staff very nice and friendly, great hotel great location , will defo be returning for now bck to Scotland

First visit to Mercure Bolton Georgian House Hotel. Very enjoyable experience enhanced by staff member Irene who was attentive and professional.Pop in visit for Lite bite in the bar. Food was fresh and well presented.Thank you Irene!

We called in for coffee and ended up having lunch. We were served by a very pleasant, courteous lady called Irene who couldn’t do enough for us. Irene has worked at the same hotel for 36 years and loves her job. She is a credit to the hotel. Thank you Irene

We had afternoon tea here and it was lovely. My daughter & Son-in-law bought it as a present for me for Mother’s Day and we had a great time. We took my 2 year old grand-daughter as well who ate almost everything. The food was really tasty and our waitress Irene was wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. She went above and beyond. Would definitely recommend it.

I don’t know where to start. We originally booked our wedding at a different venue and they weren’t getting back to us, we were frantically looking around as we wanted to keep the date, and that is when we came across Mercure (specifically Rochelle) who is the wedding coordinator.
Rochelle promptly put at ease and we choose a wedding package. We were able to personalise this and add on or take off what we needed to make it exactly as we wanted it and there was no pressure to add anything on.
Myself and my new husband cannot thank Rochelle and all of the staff at Mercure for making our wedding absolutely perfect.
Rochelle answered every email promptly and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.
Rochelle ensured that all the vendors were on time and took a lot of the stress of myself for the day.
We opted to have the sharing boards for our wedding breakfast which was alot more relaxed than a formal 3 course meal - the food was fantastic and everybody enjoyed it!
Rochelle was keen to make sure everything was just right and nothing was out of place.
The day itself ran so smoothly and Rochelle and her team were on hand from morning right the way through to late in the evening reception.
The morning of the wedding myself and the bridesmaids were given complimentary access to the conference suite and brought lovely hot fresh pastries and Prosecco and Orange Juice.
We all booked rooms at the hotel which everyone was completely happy with and the all you can eat breakfast was lovely.
If anyone is looking for a venue for their wedding I would recommend Mercure every single time.
From reception staff, to bar staff, caterers the whole experience was 10/10.
Once again, thankyou for making our special day one to remember for all of the right reasons.
