We called in for coffee and ended up having lunch. We were served by a very pleasant, courteous lady called Irene who couldn’t do enough for us. Irene has worked at the same hotel for 36 years and loves her job. She is a credit to the hotel. Thank you Irene

We had afternoon tea here and it was lovely. My daughter & Son-in-law bought it as a present for me for Mother’s Day and we had a great time. We took my 2 year old grand-daughter as well who ate almost everything. The food was really tasty and our waitress Irene was wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. She went above and beyond. Would definitely recommend it.

I don’t know where to start. We originally booked our wedding at a different venue and they weren’t getting back to us, we were frantically looking around as we wanted to keep the date, and that is when we came across Mercure (specifically Rochelle) who is the wedding coordinator.
Rochelle promptly put at ease and we choose a wedding package. We were able to personalise this and add on or take off what we needed to make it exactly as we wanted it and there was no pressure to add anything on.
Myself and my new husband cannot thank Rochelle and all of the staff at Mercure for making our wedding absolutely perfect.
Rochelle answered every email promptly and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.
Rochelle ensured that all the vendors were on time and took a lot of the stress of myself for the day.
We opted to have the sharing boards for our wedding breakfast which was alot more relaxed than a formal 3 course meal - the food was fantastic and everybody enjoyed it!
Rochelle was keen to make sure everything was just right and nothing was out of place.
The day itself ran so smoothly and Rochelle and her team were on hand from morning right the way through to late in the evening reception.
The morning of the wedding myself and the bridesmaids were given complimentary access to the conference suite and brought lovely hot fresh pastries and Prosecco and Orange Juice.
We all booked rooms at the hotel which everyone was completely happy with and the all you can eat breakfast was lovely.
If anyone is looking for a venue for their wedding I would recommend Mercure every single time.
From reception staff, to bar staff, caterers the whole experience was 10/10.

Lovely hotel, helpful staff, private and quiet surroundings, lovely spotless clean rooms, rooms arnt modern but they are very clean and spacious, nice pool and gym area, it’s small but does the job, lovely little night stay for a little getaway

Just been to the Bolton Georgian House hotel for afternoon tea. The food was very good and nicely presented. We were served by a lovely lady called Irene, she was very attentive and talkative and made sure we had everything we wanted. Lovely lady!

Popped in for a cup of tea. Never been before. The staff were great, especially Irene at the bars who was really friendly and professional. We would recommend the place, it just had a really nice atmosphere. Next time we will come for a meal at the restaurant, the menu looked good. We will be back.

I have just spent a beautiful afternoon at this hotel. My daughter and I had our lunch here, and we were greeted by Irene, who must I say is a credit to the hotel. She was friendly, professional, and very warm. This I felt made us feel welcome. The food was excellent and fresh and it was also great value we will 100% return.

Me and my wife went to the hotel for lunch. The atmosphere was very relaxing and welcoming, and the food was delicious. We had a lovely time and Irene was very friendly and helpful. She even gave us some dog biscuits for our dog. 10/10 would go back again.

Decent enough but it needs some money spending doing some renovations. Certain areas are a little rough round the edges. The rooms are nice but out dated and especially the bathrooms, I was in 887 and it was very quiet apart from pleb in the next room that kept shouting out. I did email the hotel and request a quiet room. All the staff I had interaction with were really nice. The lady on the reception, the young lad who took my order for a meal, the really lovely blonde lady at the bar and Lydia at breakfast. All the food was nice but it’s even better when work are footing the bill.
