Row of 17th century cottages which used to be farm worker's cottages.

They are best known as the birth place of Samuel Crompton, inventor of the spinning mule, which revolutionised the cotton industry.

Number 10 was Crompton's birth place. These cottages are now privately owned but there are woodland walks in the area.
