Moving to a house that wasn’t ready to sleep in so needed a hotel close by. Would not hesitate in recommending this hotel. The staff was amazing and couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. Will be back when the restaurant is open.

We moved house but could not sleep at the property so booked into the Last Drop Hotel. We were really impressed that under the Covid restrictions we felt at home and welcome. The staff were amazing and looked after us really well, we had our two westies with us and they were made very welcome. The hotel is quaint and very comfortable, the room was big enough for the dogs to have room to play and we had somewhere comfortable to sit and a massive bed which was really comfortable. Looking forward to when restrictions are lifted so we can experience the restaurant and all the facilities. We cannot thank you enough for your hospitality.

I have stayed in all other hotels in the area over the years and travel regularly, monthly. For sure the Last drop is the no 1 in the area hands down. Service, quality, rustic, environment, comfort, staff, welcome, everything. And of course the food and drink, and facilities also excellent. If i was getting married this would be the perfect place. Don’t forget you have the spa, and gym and pool to enjoy as well!

We stayed for a couple of nights for our 40th Anniversary just before lockdown and it was lovely. Spa was great and in with the price along with vouchers and free drink however what was really outstanding (apart from the lovely staff) was the amazing food in the restaurant - trully top class ! The only slightly disappointing part was the lunch menu in the bar, very basic. The surrounding area is lovely for walks and a lovely cafe up the road however called Bakers which was lovely for lunch.

Can’t wait to visit again and take advantage of the fantastic spa facilities. Rooms are not part of main hotel building meaning you will get wet moving between Reception / dining and room, but room was lovely.

Even when faced with alooming national lockdown and under pressure to close, the hotel provided us with fantastic service. We would definitely like to return to the hotel on another occasion. The rooms was spacious and very comfortable. The spa was a delight and the surrounding walks around Jumbles and Entwistle reservoirs were provided stunning views.

The staff were welcoming and friendly. Our cocker spaniel Duncan made lots of new human friends. The put us at ease when he couldn't settle in the room and even made changes to accommodate our dining arrangements so that he could join us

This was a family trip of 5 to celebrate my husbands bday. Staff in restaurant were excellent in making us welcome and helping us enjoy the birthday dinner. Unfortunately rooms were not up to good standard carpets were faded and furniture a little tired looking. No hot water in room for morning showers on day2 and day3. The kids didn’t mind though. However staff did try to rectify this problem.

welcoming and friendly staff , great service. Great value for money & well organised. The only issue was the carpets appeared to be dirty and fake nails on guest room carpet & towels stained and needed cleaning.

Great value for money, really friendly staff. Breakfast was a little rushed but over all I would recommend and will return. The spa was great and felt very friendly with all Covid measures in place to make you feel safe.

On arrival it looked good the staff were very nice to talk to, the area looked clean and tidy. The room itself also looked good on first look, however there were no towels, clothes from another person still in the draws and on the floor, the bath had a scum ring around it, and no toilet brush. The meals are expensive and not so good, we used a booking agent had we booked direct we would have been given a £10.00 voucher of the price of the food seems a bit unfair.

Stayed as part of the ‘autumn getaway’ deal and it was incredible value! We used the spa facilities and had an evening meal & breakfast there too. Great stay, great experience, great service from staff.

We booked a one night stay through the hotel itself as a Silver Wedding treat for us and our son. The rooms were amazing, very tidy, a bathrobe and slippers, ample coffee and tea and a warm radiator for those feeling the chill. We had afternoon tea on arrival and it was a tasty feast. We then had an hour's countryside stroll, returned for a very hot bath and went for dinner. I had the tastiest croquettes as a starter, they were heavenly and my lamb dinner was simply excellent and with complementary wine the meal was wonderful. Breakfast the next morning was more than ample and the whole 24 hours was just an ideal way to celebrate our Anniversary. Reception was good, efficient and helpful and Sarah and all those in the restaurant saw to our every need. I can honestly say we will return as we were so thrilled to visit such a high quality hotel, thanks to everyone at the Last Drop. Everything was covid appropriate, nothing was too much trouble.

Been here many times and absolutely loved it, had a bad experience 2 weeks ago, due to drunken inconsiderate people, of which the hotel dealt with, for the inconvenience of it I was offered a discounted stay which I was thankful for, stayed on Saturday, had another fantastic night there with my partner and then decided to stay another night with our children, David longcake, the manager, ensured we was welcomed, happy and comfortable for the duration of our stay and couldn't of been anymore helpful, he was very friendly and a credit to the last drop village! All restaurant staff was as usual, very friendly, helpful and most of all happy, even during these testing times, receptionist was lovely and all amenities was as usual thoroughly enjoyed by the whole family, amazing place to stay for any occasion, I look forward to my wedding there!

Nice weekend, relaxing and staff are helpfull, I wasn't well during stay due to chronic condition allowed pre booked dinner to be taken into room, food was nice, spa although could have done with a bit longer was worth it in the price. Pool is about cold though.

Room was clean and comfortable, evening meal was nice and service excellent. Staff generally very friendly indeed. My spa treatment was really enjoyable, the young girl who did it was lovely. The bar area and restaurant were relaxing and comfortable. We recieved drinks vouchers too, which made the value for money even better. We got a great price for the package, which included 2no 50 min spa treatments DB&B for £319 including full use of the pool and hydrotherapy area. However, that is where the positive experiences stopped. The spa experience left a lot to be desired, it was actually quite stressful not relaxing! This was down to two main factors - very poor communication and lack of hygiene. Some tips for you, take your own water as nowhere to get a drink of water in the gym; we were told we'd have to walk to the bar if we wanted some (yes, in our wet swimming clothes). You need £1 for the lockers! If you're staying over, your robes etc are in your room unless you go before check in and then they are only given to you before your spa treatment starts. The pool and hydrotherapy experience was first, pool was nice, as was the hydrotherapy infinity pool and steam room. The other rooms such as the 'aroma grotto' and the 'halotherapy room' are just weird. Cold, dirty and smelly. The changing rooms were awful, dirty, wet floors with towels and tissues strewn everywhere. The sinks and toilets were filthy too. Given the Covid rules, we were surprised to not see a single member of staff cleaning these areas the whole time we were there. Someone was meant to come in to clean the hydrotherapy area down at quarter past the hour. It never happened. The woman on reception in the spa was quite curt and unhelpful, but we put all this down to the staff probably feeling worried and upset about the announcement to go into second lockdown which happened the night before we arrived. So we were extra mindful of that and didn't complain. Breakfast was ok, very fast service but the food was poor. Rubbery mushrooms and scrambled eggs. Tables were very close together, no social distancing and people were visibly uncomfortable. We didn't stay long. Generally, it was an enjoyable experience but we wouldn't use the spa area again if we came back. We would return, however, for the bar, restaurant and comfy beds! The most comfiest bed I've slept in for a long time. But the rest needs a little work. Well done to the staff for their hard work and adapting to the ever changing Covid rules. We could see, and appreciate, they were trying their best.
