Room was a little small, very dated (especially the radiator) but don't get me wrong both the room itself and the bathroom was very clean and well kept with plenty of storage space and I liked that the room had a proper table and an armchair, as well as a dressing table; the room also had a ironing board and iron which was handy and saved us having to ring reception to ask for one like we normally have to do in other hotels.
Facilities were great with there being a gym and a swimming pool.
Amenities were lovely, they had an orange scent. The staff were polite and I requested extra pillows and they brought them up to my room which they were happy to do.
Overall we were happy with our stay and would stay again

Stayed in one of the penthouse suites with my husband and 3 children. It was all laid out ready when we arrived which was great and the space in the room worked perfectly for us. Room clean and in decent order but looking ready for updating.
Breakfast buffet style with decent choice.
Pool was a decent size and fairly warm. Again leisure areas looking a bit dated. Reception, bar, restaurant were nicely decorated. Great for a family stay and good price.

Stayed here for one night, booked and paid for corner pitch view for my boyfriends birthday was put in a standard, when I told them they did refund the difference of the upgrade. Room was ok smaller than expected but clean, breakfast was good and lady on reception very nice.

A fantastic room overlooking the pitch...what a view!
Comfortable, quiet and had everything we needed. Heating and air con weren't working but we were given a heater. All staff were friendly and helpful.
We had a lovely meal in the restaurant The Grill, served by Sian- who was fantastic, courteous, kind and helpful-thank you!

Booked for one night and was impressed by the price however it became obvious on entering the hotel why the price was so low. The decor is getting shabby, the staff were disinterested the room could have done with a good clean, particularly the outside window and the whole place lacked any attention at all, let alone attention to detail. On perusing the menu decided to eat in the nearby shopping centre as the White's menu was overpriced and rather uninspiring. Overall this hotel is like BWFC, Premier league 10 years ago but now struggling to put up a decent fight of it.

Stayed for one night for the awards last Friday in a penthouse suite two adults and two children £127 plus £10 each for breakfast which we thought was very reasonable. Stayed in room 712 top floor, main bedroom separated from lounge which had pull out bed for children. Thought the room would benefit from a fridge, fantastic huge bathroom with separate bath and shower, nice clean room quite comfy but the mattress needs replacing, during the night we found it went in in the middle and we were both rolling into the middle of the bed so we didn't feel we had as much room.
Hotel is beautiful we had a lovely stay and the breakfast was awesome one of the best cooked English breakfasts we've ever had thoroughly enjoyed it and we would stay here again definitely. Minus one star for the mattress

Excellent place to visit and the staff were very friendly to me. It is such a nice layout inside and its the second time I have been and both occasions were for an awards ceremony.

Would love to stay in their hotel itself one day and thanks to everyone

Stayed for 1 night on a business trip.
The rooms are basic, I have titled this convenient because being attached to the football ground it would be ideal, but also its right next to the retail park, has free parking, free wifi, close to the M61 & M6 etc.
Didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment.
Great shower....

A fleeting visit, just a night visiting friends. £80. Great customer service , a friendly smile at reception and lovely reception surroundings.
It was a quiet day because no game on ( this is Boltons football stadium ) so it could make a difference.
Upgraded and lucky to have a room with a view of the whole stadium. One of the most fun views I've seen from a hotel room and I'm not a bolton fan. It will be a view to remember that's for sure.
Rooms nice , very clean , comfortable bed . All The essentials needed for a nights stay. Water , and bathroom essentials. And a hair dryer. No mini bar , but possible available in more deluxe rooms.

Breakfast outstanding. !!!! So not quite sure what complaints are about. Hot , lots of choice , ( even at 10am on a Sunday) , hot fresh coffee , and fruit and breads and toast all the options you would want for a full English. Scrambled and fried eggs , sausage , black pudding , sliced fried tomatoes , bacon , baked beans , and more most probably. Fresh fruits and continental choices too. Tables clean and staff well presented.

Ambience nice and fresh , clean and relaxed.
Never used the restaurants or bar so can't comment.

We stayed here for 1 night before we went to the food and drink festival at Bolton. Absolutely fantastic, room lovely with a view of the pitch and the staff were lovely and very helpful.
Can't even think of one single negative thing about our stay.

Overall, the venue was excellent.
Staff were all friendly and welcoming - a good sign of customer focus in hospitality.
The room was good with cleanliness and all the things I would need for a wedding reception I was attending; ie, iron, good bathroom, storage space. I stayed with family and felt our in-room needs were taken care of.
The TV displayed standard freeview terrestrial channels - good signal. However, with the venue being home to Bolton Wanderers FC, I would have expected a more informational or interactive menu, at least giving me options to view the hotels facilities and events. Being able to book the restaurant from the TV or arrange a late check-out would have been a nice touch, as well as possibly knowing the Team's fixtures for the season. TVs in the public areas could have also displayed useful hotel information. All this would have added to the guest experience, especially due to the location and venue.

The Restaurant looked lovely with a great view of the football pitch. We didn't dine there but I'm sure other guests would have valued the experience.
The bar area was also well presented. Only observation, was that the TVs were too small for matches on them.

The hotel was located within walking distance of many shops, bars and restaurants, so I was happy. Parking was good too as it was on-site.

Thank you Bolton Whites.

We have stayed at this hotel frequently ever since it opened when we have been visiting family nearby. It has gone through good and bad times. The room we stayed in this time was very poor as it smelt of smoke from people smoking outside just below the window (which was not open). It was also very noisy late at night from people leaving a function in the same building.
The food has improved since Heathcotes took over this service and breakfast is better than it used to be.
Unfortunately we arrived on a match day and the bar was heaving but the staff did well to clean up after everyone had gone into the ground.

I have used this hotel on previous occasions. This vist was marked by a lot of new staff. All were attentive and courteous. The rooms are fairly basic but comfortable and every needed is available. The food is a Paul Heathcote Grill and my meal was well presented and of a good standard. My vist was on a match night, but the service didn't suffer. My only observation that for the standard of hotel and food by an renown chef, I was surprised at the food hygiene rating of 4

This hotel is easily accessible by car as it is located just off the M61 motorway, and has a vast car park. My room was clean and reasonably pleasant, but no better than the well-known budget hotel chain where I normally stay. Both check-in and check-out were perfunctory - I wasn't asked if I'd enjoyed my stay. Lack of time prevented me from using the sauna, pool or steam room, so I cannot comment on these, nor did I eat or drink in the hotel.

The hotel is part of the Bolton Wanderers football stadium, and much is made of the fact that - apparently - some rooms overlook the pitch. I don't see the benefit of this unless (a) you're a football fan, (b) you are staying when a match is on, and (c) you manage to get yourself allocated such a room.

All in all, a perfectly adequate hotel without being anything special.

A perfect space for weddings, first time I have attended a wedding in this place, when the deco is done and you walk in, wow it's breath taking and I can assure you that you will get a good service, the best thing about it is that it has other floors, there was tea & coffee on the first with a finger buffet and a second floor with more seats and tables for guests, overall we enjoyed our family wedding day.

I stayed in a pitch side room a few weeks ago and there happened to be a pre season friendly on. It was great to be able to watch a bit of the match before heading to a wedding in the area. The room was nice and comfortable. It would have been better if there was a mini bar but ha ho the room cost me £60 including breakfast which was fantastic value for money. The breakfast was excellent with loads of choice. I found all the staff to be really friendly and helpful.

Lovely hotel! Room was lovely. Price of drinks in the bar was a bit steep! Will take my own next time!

Got a great deal for 2 nights, wouldn't pay the normal rate as it's just not that special. Disappointed with no pitch view as I think that is the selling point of this hotel. Wifi terrible, could not get connected the whole time. Unfortunately the pool was out of action for the duration of our stay so couldn't comment on that. Great transport link into Manchester though. Staff average, when checking out never spoke just took the keys. All in all I would not stay here again.
