The entrance was grand & to a degree expected from a chain of this magnitude. The room was tired, dated & did not match the entrance. The bed was broken in my room, I was dealt with efficiently by an excellent receptionist, however no complimentary offerings were forth coming for our inconvenience.

We had the best time but book well in advance before they put the room rates up we had to pay £200 for a room that is normally £84 and felt a bit ripped off but we paid it and all in all we had a great night sleep and have the breakfast worth every part of the £10 per head

Charged double as we attended Rod Stewart concert. Hotel is tired, so maybe a few more events with double rates may address this. Staff very plesant and nice breakfast. And for the premium charged poorly staffed bar as the great unwashed were also aloud in for a drink. Thank you whites

The hotel was very good.
The room we stayed in was very clean.
The surrounding area is good with plenty shops nearby and in easy reach of Bolton town centre.
Security for the event was very good.
On the downside the drinks at the bar were very expensive.

Although the staff were very helpful and provided a very friendly service it was very obvious that the hotel has been and is suffering financial difficulties. This is visible throughout the whole area.

Lovely staff, good location and a really nice breakfast , what more
Could you ask for. Excellent transport links into central Manchester with the train station within a 5 minute walk of the hotel.
If I was planning a visit to the Manchester area I would definitely stay again.

Nice hotel and free overnight parking which is always a bonus. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are basic but the price included breakfast and parking. So good value overall. The duty manager at breakfast was particularly helpful and accommodating.

Very welcoming and an usual property to stay with views of the pitch. Good accommodation and very clean. Everything supplied in the room. Price a lot cheaper than the rest of Bolton hotels I looked at and everything I needed was accessible from this location. Would definitely stay here again.

Pitch side rooms must be the best and must have good views. You get what you pay for. Cannot fault the room we stayed in on the 1st floor. Very clean hotel. Staff are very welcoming. Breakfast freshly cooked. Close to restaurants and retail shops. The hotel is getting back to normality as it was closed for two weeks due the administration of the club. If you are staying at this hotel in the next few days or so, make sure you take your own body wash and shampoo as this hotel is trying to negotiate with the suppliers of the body wash/shampoo. Do not be put off by this. These things are beyond the staff's control. You will not fault the hotel even though they are getting back to normality. Even though we were stuck without shampoo/body wash, the hotel is the best in Bolton. If you do require shampoo/body wash, then there is a massive Tesco 5 minutes away from the hotel. Do not have a dig at the staff if there are no complimentary items in your room, these individuals nearly lost their jobs. Some of them have lost their jobs. Some are back which must have been a relief. The hotel is open for business. Do not hesitate to book this hotel if you are thinking of staying in Bolton for a few days or so. I do hope the customers who were regulars at this hotel come back and keep the hotel running as it was a year ago.

Nice hotel, quiet , probably because footie season ended. Missed minor items in the room and swimming pool but overall good time and very good value for money, best on any comparison website! Will re visit later in year if cost still good.

At the moment the financial issues are impacting on the limited menu, however beyond that the hotel could be a star the staff are great, the location n rooms overlooking the pitch are superb. My room was huge but does need redecorating with air con added. The bar was empty so lacked any atmosphere again dye to guests eating elsewhere. Its a shame but once the money side is sorted I'd consider coming back. Wifi is great, free parking and although dated the rooms are very comfortable.

10 nights with work. Group booking loads staying here. Very cost hotel, but in need of a refresh. No aircon in rooms and become very hot ....

Breakfast is good lot to choose from , like continental and full English. We booked for 10 nights dinner , yet once arrived told resturant closed followed by so many varaties of reasons why.... we had a £25 per night allowance so upset all of us. We did get cash... over the next 3 nights go so many distorted reasons why to in the end we got the kitchen open. All be it a very watered down limited menu. So if you like fried food its ok. We waited a very long time for our food.

We eventually found out reason why . Bolton wanderers own the ground and the whole complex is bankrupt and being run by administrators so resources are sparse. Yet the staff are brill and work tiresly behind the scenes

That being said I would suggest dont eat here, or rely on it. Bar is very expensive.

Many more eateries around the hotel as the stadium is in the middle of a retail park

Not sure of the tin foil around the picture frames !!!

Other than this the hotel is good and spa is fab

Although our room was a bit dated and tired, it was very clean and had everything we needed.
The bathroom needed attention, but was at least clean.
What staff we saw were very pleasant and helpful.
We would definitely stay here again when coming to Bolton.

Stayed at this hotel for a stop over. I was only there for 12 hours. Had a great sleep, used the pool and had a great breakfast. I turned up at 2am in the morning and the staff got me checked in fast so I could get to my bed quickly.

Stayed here for 1 night and had a fantastic time. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room's with window's facing the pitch are amazing and well worth the extra cost. The gym is not very big however it has everything you need for a good workout. Had a great time here and would stay again.

The venue has lost a lot of its sheen after several years of under investment. Not been in the bedrooms but have heard from others that the rooms are equally suffering from the lack of investment. The venue gets impossibly busy on match days for Bolton Wanderers

Helpful friendly staff would definitely return again. considering the uncertain future of hotel and football club the atmosphere around the place was fantastic. The combination of the football pitch and rooms connected via hotel was amazing

Stayed here last night. Room was a bit dated but clean. Bed comfortable. Bathroom a bit cold and dated. Tea / coffee provided in room. Plenty of parking outside. Free WiFi. A bit pricey for what it is. Feels a bit like holiday inn.

One night stay for the football match. Hotel full but not noisy.
Had a meal in Heathcotes. Good value special for match night.
Good parking.
Some rooms are not completely accessible by lift. Problem if you have large luggage or are getting older!
