They offer a fantastic service for all young people from 8-21 and are fully inclusive. There are so many opportunities for the young people to get involved in and they really know how to ensure they provide a safe environment,

Being a Bolton company it is really important that we are involved with charities on our door step and address problems here at home. We were so impressed by the facilities and services available to young people at the BLGC. The approach taken by the club is supportive to those who need it most and make vulnerable young people see that they do have potential and are not a burden. When they have nowhere else to turn they can go to the BLGC.

Charity begins at home and Bolton is our home town so what better than to support and encourage young people at BLGC and become a Patron, have fun along the way and feel a sense of pride at your achievements. We all have busy lives and commitments but to take a little time out to use your business skills and energy to give something back

I see the work that BLGC carries out with local children as absolutely vital. Whilst many users of the Club simply go there to enjoy the great facilities in a safe and friendly environment there is still a large number who depend on the Club as a safety net to pick up where society has let them down. There is a misconception in the Bolton area that the Club is wholly funded by the government and local authority and whilst it does receive some assistance the vast majority of the costs are covered by charitable donations. It is therefore imperative that business’s like Sharples get involved in any way they can to ensure this amazing facility stays open and is able to meet the needs of these vulnerable kids.

You have nothing to lose becoming a patron and so much to gain. By doing the right thing you get access to a fantastic network of local likeminded business people who want to make a difference by having fun. The clubs business community also works well together and many strong relationships have been formed over a meal, drink or bike ride.

I have attended a number of networking events at BLGC and found them a really useful opportunity to meet up with business colleagues and friends as well as meet new people and make introductions.
The events are always extremely professionally managed and the presentations useful, and informative.
I wouldn't miss them for anything now!

I went along to the holiday club and it was really good. I made some new friends. I really liked the football and playing pool.

I recently used Bolton Lads and Girls Club for the first time for childcare for my 11 year old. The childcare was during the school holidays and was a bargain at only £5 by booking in advance as part of their early bird booking. The care itself I found to be excellent, my son had an excellent time with lots of sports on offer and he was in heaven being allowed to play as much football as he liked. After the first day, my son had a little bit of an issue with another boy there and I spoke to one of the members of staff and I was impressed with the excellent way they dealt with things and we had no further issues and my son is looking forward to going back in the summer.
