Explore Luke Jerram’s extraordinary artwork, Gaia, at Blackburn Cathedral this autumn and see our planet from a new perspective. This breathtaking installation offers visitors a chance to connect with the beauty and fragility of Earth in a truly unique setting.
The exhibition runs from 6th October to 16th November 2025. Entry during the day is free, though a suggested donation of £5 per person is encouraged to support the Cathedral’s upkeep and future events.
The Cathedral will be open most days, with some closures or visitor restrictions. Please check the website for daily updates and full details.
A national Photography Competition on the theme of Life on Earth will accompany the exhibition, with winning and shortlisted entries displayed at the Cathedral during Gaia.
Schools are also welcome to visit between October and November. Due to limited capacity, all school visits must be booked and confirmed in advance.
For opening times, competition details, and booking information, visit the Blackburn Cathedral website or contact 01254 277430 / info@blackburncathedral.com.
