Experience one of the most special and symbolic services of the Easter calendar ✨
The Easter Vigil at Blackburn Cathedral begins outdoors with the lighting of the Easter Fire, before moving inside for a beautiful and meaningful service marking the transition from darkness to light.
Led by guest president and preacher Dr Rowan Williams, this evening brings together powerful moments of reflection, music, and celebration.
The service also includes the opportunity for baptism and confirmation for those wishing to take part. If this is something you are interested in, you are encouraged to speak with your parish priest or a member of the Cathedral clergy in advance.
Lasting around two hours, this is a unique and memorable way to mark the start of Easter.
Whether you attend regularly or are simply looking to experience something meaningful, you will be warmly welcomed.
