One of the North West’s Leading Amateur Orchestras Returns for an Evening of Beethoven, Nielsen and Rautavaara

Blackburn Symphony Orchestra, one of the North West’s finest amateur orchestras, returns to Blackburn Cathedral for its Spring Concert on Saturday 21st March 2026 at 7.30pm.

Under the baton of conductor Richard Howarth, the orchestra will perform a compelling programme including:

  • Rautavaara – Cantus Arcticus

  • Beethoven – Piano Concerto No. 3

  • Nielsen – Symphony No. 4, “Inextinguishable”

Tickets are £13.00, with free admission for under 19s.
