Community Enterprise & Skills aims to ENGAGE and EMPOWER individuals especially from hard to reach and underrepresented communities. We work across Greater Manchester and Lancashire.

About Community Enterprise & Skills (C.I.C) 

Community Enterprise & Skills CIC Is a community based organisation that aims to improve the lives and environment of people in the North West and Lancashire.

They aim to empower and support the needs of individuals across all local communities, irrespective of ethnic origin, faith or gender. They hope to provide a better understanding of health, education, community safety and employment.

They take an innovative approach to engage, and empower individuals from all backgrounds. They aim to support the needs of individuals across all local communities. We provide a better understanding of health, education, community safety and employment. 
Theu have successfully provided support for carers, the elderly, unemployed and those socially isolated. Their purpose is to achieve social and economic regeneration through learning enterprise and employment. They hold drop in sessions, events and other community development programmes. 
 

Current Projects 

ReachIT Lancashire Digital Inclusion Project 
Building better opportunities is a national programme from the big lottery fund who are matching funds from the European Social Fund (ESF) 2014-2020 to invest in local projects tackling the root causes of poverty, promoting social inclusion and driving local jobs and growth
 
A digital inclusion project aiming to ensure that no-one in Lancashire gets left behind by the shift towards the need for digital skills. By providing targeted, personalised digital skills training we aim to improve employability, health & well being, and provide the digital skills necessary to empower those in disadvantaged communities throughout Lancashire.
 
They will ensure that the most socially excluded throughout Lancashire can access ReachIT by channelling engagement & support resources through local communities and services.
 
ReachIT will contribute to Lancashire’s Employment & Skills priorities including: targeted support, linked to local business needs; developing independent advice/guidance; preparing people for work including employability training & support into work.
