We are offering a welcoming creative opportunity for adults with long-term disabilities living in the Ladywood constituency (including the Jewellery Quarter).
Participants will meet once a month for a free, relaxed day of making, transforming waste materials into useful and beautiful objects. Sessions are guided by experienced makers and artists and designed to be supportive, social and hands-on.
What’s included:
- Guidance from experienced makers/artists
- A chance to meet new people in a friendly environment
- Learning about materials, making and sustainability
- The opportunity to take part in an end-of-project exhibition
All sessions take place in our makers’ studio at The Hive, 43–47 Vittoria Street, Birmingham, B1 3PE. To find out more or to join, email operationshive@gmail.com or call 07977 174750.
This project is funded by the Ladywood Neighbourhood Network Scheme (NNS) and forms part of our new Trash to Treasure programme, exploring sustainable approaches to making and materials.
