Erdington’s newest care home is opening its doors for its grand launch event.

Care UK’s Elderflower Grange, on Orphanage Road, will be welcoming the local community – along with a VIP visitor – on Thursday 2nd July from 2-4pm to join the celebrations.

With the first residents having moved into Elderflower Grange in June, everyone at the home is now gearing up to celebrate its official opening. Cutting the ribbon will be former Aston Villa player, Tony Morley.

On arrival, guests will be met by the team in the home’s main reception area, where they can enjoy welcome drinks and canapés before exploring the home throughout the afternoon.

A range of entertainment will be available, including magic by Magician Andrew Kelly. Guests can also enjoy the backdrop of live music which will be performed by Fran Dwane.

After the ceremonial ribbon cutting announcing the home officially open, visitors will have the opportunity to find out exactly what life is like at Elderflower Grange. Attendees can take a tour around the care home, including the Old Fort Bar and cinema, hair and beauty salon and pub, and meet the team and chat to Home Manager Jag Singh.

Guests attending the official opening can enjoy tasters of the delicious meals on the residents’ menu, specially prepared by the home’s talented head chef, along with additional food stations available throughout the home.

Jag said: “We’ve had such a warm and positive response from local people since we opened the doors to Elderflower Grange in May – we already feel like part of the community!

“We’re delighted to be marking our official opening in July and to be able to celebrate with our neighbours, residents’ relatives and special guests. We can’t wait to show everyone the welcoming, friendly atmosphere we’ve created here at the home.”

Designed to enable residents to lead active and fulfilling lives, while also promoting independence, Elderflower Grange will provide full-time residential and dementia care, as well as short-term respite care. The home will incorporate space for hobby and leisure activities and include its own hair and beauty salon and The Old Fort bar and cinema.
