EMERGING PERSPECTIVES
  • The Hive
    43 - 47 Vittoria Street
    B1 3PE
  • Tuesday 4th August, 10:00am - Until Friday 14th August, 3:30pm
a solo exhibition exploring texture, rhythm and the beauty of overlooked details.

Anya Kalsi is an emerging contemporary artist whose practice explores abstraction through process, observation and material experimentation. Working across drawing, oil painting and installation, she uses macro photography to transform overlooked patterns and intricate structures into layered abstract compositions that move between drawing, painterly surfaces and spatial form.

This exhibition brings together works that investigate the relationship between observation and abstraction, encouraging audiences to engage closely with texture, rhythm and detail. Her work balances control with spontaneity, inviting viewers into a space of curiosity rather than fixed interpretation.

The exhibition follows her recent success as the winner of the
Young Artist Award at the Derwent Art Prize 2026, with her work exhibited at the OXO Gallery in London. These achievements establish her as an emerging voice in contemporary abstraction.
