Block Print a Bandana
1.00 pm to 15.30 pm, Wednesday 15th July, £50
A unique opportunity to explore wood block printing with artist Natasha Taheem, taking inspiration from her journey through this ancient craft. Participants will learn about traditional Indian woodblock printing, including preparing fabric for print, creating repeat patterns and using border and filler blocks. In this half day workshop, you will experiment with sampling and test prints before creating a finished hand-printed cotton bandana to take home. Natasha will also share research and learning from her recent trip to Bagru and discuss how block printing informs her own contemporary practice.
