Date: Sunday 31 October 2010
Time: 2pm - 6pm
Venue: Odyssey

There's something chilling in the air and some spooky goings-on as Belfast gets ready for its annual Halloween spooktacular.

The Halloween Metro Monster Mash will offer entertainments & activities for the whole family, especially for all those younger witches and wizards.

Beginning at 2pm, the children's activities and parties line-up will feature:

  • live on-stage music and dance performances
  • an array of street theatre and walkabouts
  • puppetry
  • breathtaking fire shows
  • face painting
  • samba drummers
  • special guests.

Why not come down and try your hand at pumpkin carving or making your very own vampire bat on a stick at one of our wacky workshops?

Expect lots of laughter, family fun and ghoulish behaviour!

The entertainments end at 6pm with the biggest fireworks display in Northern Ireland!... and one of Belfast's main tourist attractions in the autumn season.

Also this year, Citybeat Radio will be on stage throughout the four-hour spooktacular to keep witches and wizards entertained. There'll be special performances by the 2010 Citybeat Young Star Search winners and the Citybeat ghost will be revealed with some very special guest appearances.

Do you love to dance?

We've brought on board the experts from the Belfast Talent School to choreograph a unique performance at this year's Halloween event.

We want to bring together a dance troupe from all across the city to put the magic into this spellbinding event.

If you want to be part of it, text 'monster' to 0785 321 4420 (normal text message rates apply) or email info@belfasttalent.com for further details.

This opportunity is open to all age groups and walks of life. No dance experience is required, but a good sense of fun is a must!

Free ghost bus

Metro logo Translink Metro has organised free 'ghost buses' to whisk little ghouls and goblins to and from the event. The free shuttle service operates on a circular route between Chichester Street and the venue throughout the afternoon and early evening.
