We would like to extend an invitation for you to raise a four member team to compete in the inaugural A Man Who Can Charity Golf Day. The event will take place on Thursday 17th September 2015 at Chipping Sodbury Golf Course. The format of the day will be bacon rolls and coffee on arrival from 10:00am, with first tee off at 10:30am. After golf there will be a two course meal served in the club house at approximately 16:30pm at which a prize giving will take place. There will be a maximum of nine, four person teams taking part on a two best scores per hole on Stapleford scoring. There will be prizes for the winning team, best overall individual score of the day, nearest the pin and longest drive.
The aim of the day is not only to have fun and play some good golf, but to also raise money for the National Ankylosing Spondylitis Society (NASS). This is a genetic auto-immune disease which up until now has not had a great deal of exposure, but in Bath we have a centre of excellence at the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases. We are hoping that the hospital will also field a team and that we will have a short talk at or after the meal from a representative of NASS.
As the space is limited to nine teams, places will be allocated on a first come first served basis so register your interest early by contacting Amelia on 01225 430576 or amelia@amanwhocan.info. The cost to enter is £200 per team i.e. £50 per head for food and a round of golf on this challenging but beautiful golf course. This is excellent value for money and the proceeds from the day will be going to a worthy cause. If you are unable to participate on the day but would like to contribute we will be holding a raffle and any prizes that you may consider donating will be much appreciated.
