Being Part of Team V Bath

Being part of Team V has given me the opportunity to share my skills amongst others and increase my ability of working as part of a team. Volunteering helps to increase personal skills such as; communication and social skills, organisation, punctuality and creativity. All these aspects are highly beneficial when looking for a job and help to bump up the ever so important CV.

There are numerous roles within Team V including; PR, Social Media, Events Management and General Volunteering. With such a wide range of options, it enables you to broaden your ideas and talents to find something more fitted to you. However, you can also choose a role which sounds most appealing to you giving you more experience in that specific field.

My role as PR Manager for the Team V ‘Make Time for Your Mind’ campaign has been incredibly rewarding, hands on and given me the opportunity to show what I am capable of and sharing this knowledge with others.

Volunteering has given me a great experience of working in the field of PR and events planning and enabled me to meet a variety of friendly, passionate and hardworking volunteers. It has encouraged me to use my verbal, organisational and written skills and given me extra confidence when facing new challenges or hurdles.

For anyone looking at improving their personal skills or fancy the idea of volunteering, please feel free to contact Bath’s Team V leader, Helen Gibb for more details and roles available for up and coming campaigns.
