Met with Ruth Knagg of Bath Festivals on Friday morning, high up in an office almost within touching distance of the great flying butressess of the Bath Abbey and overlooking the Roman Baths. I didn't know that Bath Festivals has been going for around 60 years now. Ruth is busy finishing the 2010 events schedule and at the same time is already looking ahead to 2011, when there will be some cut in the basic funding that they have received in previous years, due to the credit crunch I think. Corporate sponsorship will be key to filling the void and there are lots of opportunities for local Bath businesses to get involved, get publicity and networking opportunities, or impress important clients with quality, engaging corporate hospitality. If you run a local business and want to find out more then contact Ruth on T.01225 462231 or ruth.knagg@bathfestivals.org.uk
